#2958762 Voth talks to Kalil about Hardy, Gantt comments

Posted by jtm on 16 September 2014 - 06:51 PM

Another fugging Hardy thread?

After ignoring every single previous thread, what the fug.

To the national media. Hardy has been found GUILTY by a judge. Sure he gets to appeal. But he is appealing a GUILTY verdict. So in the eyes of the media, and the masses as well. He is GUILTY.

This is fugged up. Go against popular opinion and let him play until his appeal is played out. Or sit him for the next 5 weeks and kow tow to the media. Then if/when he is found not guilty, all hell gets to break free.

There is no good answer to this mess.

Most here refuse to accept this very basic fact.

#2953058 Costas blasts Panthers over handling of Hardy situation

Appeal = Not guilty until trial.

Reading is hard.

I'm an attorney and I'm not even going to try and explain this bc most here are obviously very biased.

#2904974 Pete Prisco (CBS Sports Senior NFL Columnist ): I think I was wrong about Kel...

the solution is to run more 2 TE sets which I have yet to really see.... It should be a staple...

I agree and I think they are saving this for the regular season.

The problem is the other receivers can't beat one on one coverage.

#2780374 Grade Our 2014 Draft

Posted by jtm on 11 May 2014 - 07:42 AM

You guys act like 6th and 7th rounds are filled with elite talent. Most 6th and 7th rounders never start a NFL game other than special teams.

After the 4th round, 90% of the players are best case scenario a capable back up.

I wouldn't draft anyone this stupid. If you can't stop using pot before the biggest moment of your life, you have a problem.

#2758966 Charlie Casserly thinks Manziel may fall out of first....

Posted by jtm on 02 May 2014 - 07:45 AM

Manziel is too popular and has too much upside to slip out of the first. As your quote references, if he starts slipping someone will trade up to get him. Personally, I don't think he falls past 16.

#2754467 A little insight on the Hakeem Nicks story

Posted by jtm on 28 April 2014 - 02:13 PM

My guess is Gettleman was interested in Nicks only if Nicks was motivated and had his head on straight. Gettleman probably didn't get the impression Nicks was hungry when they met and quickly lost interest.

I really think it is this simple.

#2724330 DeSean Jackson agrees to terms with Redskins

Posted by jtm on 02 April 2014 - 06:59 AM

When was the last time that a team that "won the offseason" actually turned out to be good with those players? The Bucs and the Eagles "dream team" come to mind.

Jackson appears to be a real distraction and so is RG3, so this should be interesting. Add Shannahan's no nonsense attitude and get your popcorn.

#2719170 Rivera says Cam wasn't consulted in WR moves

Posted by jtm on 28 March 2014 - 08:18 AM

They did Cam a favor by not asking him, if this is in fact true. No need to get Cam involved in this

#2714733 #1 Receivers don't grow on trees, I'm told

Posted by jtm on 24 March 2014 - 02:39 PM

D-Jax is the only true number 1 available in free agency and I don't have any interest in him. Britt is a #1 when he is on the field, which is rare. Nicks hasn't shown in the past three years he can be a 1 and obviously Gettle feels the same way. Decker, no thanks. Smitty, no longer a 1 and it has been this way for 2 years.

My point is, what should we have done? I bet Cotchery has more yards than Smitty this year and doesn't cap strap us is in the future. The rest of the free agent WRs are getting overpaid.

A #1 WR is like the Supreme Courts definition of pornography - you know it when you see it.

On one hand, he was a terrible commentator, but on the other hand, we only lost one game he called for us.
