#537174 Happy Birthday Bob!!!

Posted by dimbee on 08 April 2010 - 08:52 PM

built the arena from scratch.

More like he built the arena from tax dollars that the citizens of Charlotte voted as a majority against yet still got pushed through.

He gave MJ full basketball control because he realized that he didn't know poo about NBA basketball and how to be successful at it. He then sold out his majority because he was tired of losing money. He did so at a precipitous time too- now with real leadership and vision, we are on the precipice of greatness. At least he'll still be able to reap some of those benefits, albeit quietly and unnoticed.

#536609 I just ordered the Motorola Droid

$49.99 with a renewal... I already have Verizon... Hmmmm... what's the catch?

Purely online company + no high priced rent for a store = Less overhead

Thus able to put together better than market deals.

Love it.

For $19.99 on wirefly.com! I'll take $180 off retail price every day of the week! I am interested in seeing how Verizon's service stacks up. I've carried Sprint since 2000 when I got my first cell phone, so I haven't experienced any other carrier's service and have had no complaints whatsoever with Sprint. But, all good things must come to an end....

#536220 Charlotte Bobcats rise all thanks to Larry Brown

Posted by dimbee on 08 April 2010 - 11:05 AM

Larry Brown, more than anyone, is the man to be thanked for picking up the pieces of this franchise, making smart decisions and trades (even unpopular ones) and coaching these players into playing like a team. Larry Brown is here because of Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan is here because of his North Carolina roots.

Why was Bob Johnson here?

To make money. Plain and simple. I have no problem with a man trying to make money.

But let's give credit where credit is due. Bob Johnson could very easily go down as one of the most inept NBA owners in NBA history. Michael Jordan and Larry Brown are the 2 men who deserve the credit for the Bobcats' recent success. While Bobcat Johnson was trying to sell out and get the F out of Dodge as fast as possible, MJ and LB quietly went about their business of putting together a contender.

#533668 Obama: White Sox fan...uh um

Posted by dimbee on 06 April 2010 - 08:55 PM

I don't recall anyone questioning Obama's afnhood of the Sox 16 moths ago- and, btw, I think this is by far the stupidest fuggen mud that's been slung at him.

#532175 Cats' MOD Change?

Posted by dimbee on 05 April 2010 - 09:42 PM

My question is this: Does the OP think that KT will stop posting said type of threads if he is not the MOD of this forum? I don't. With that said, I think KT has done a fine job in his role as the MOD of this forum. Moderating a forum does not equate to always posting what everyone wants to read. Someone may not like the theme of some of his posts, but they aren't out of line in regards to the rules of this messageboard. As such, I, personally, do not see any reason to change the MOD of this forum, as the complaints against him aren't really valid reasons to remove him.

Just my opinion.

Here's what you do:

At the dinner table one evening, say, "[name], I was putting some laundry in your room and I found something that you were hiding and I think we need to discuss this. I am concerned and I don't want you to jeopardize your future."

Pause and look him in the eyes and watch his reaction.

Then pull out a condom.

GREAT signing! Smitty will get his wish and he can step into the #2 WR spot now that the Panthers have signed a natural #1

No doubt about that. I'll take driving behind/beside/in front of a stoned driver over a drunk driver every day of the week.

#512772 Peppers makes himself at home

Posted by dimbee on 21 March 2010 - 10:05 AM

With what they pay Peppers, they have no money to really do anything...for a while.

Which shows you don't know poo about the Bears salary cap room. Even with Peppers' contract, we were able to sign 2 other top Free Agents. With this coming season being an uncapped year, and who knows about the next, you're just talking out of your ass because you're still buttsore from losing him. It's ok...

UK is playing like UNC was playing in last year's tourney, where they're clearly the best team in the field.
