#2744615 Brandin Cooks Surprises His Mom

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on Yesterday, 09:35 AM

The guy kept a promise to his mother. How in the hell does this mean he's gonna blow all of his money on the whole damned neighborhood? Apparently this had more to do with the promise than him wasting money. The huddle sometimes, I swear.

feel free to point out where i said he's going to do that in any of my posts.  these are just things that NFL players have to deal with and it's well documented.

i mean the concept i was talking about is very simple and there are abundant examples of it.  i don't understand why what i posted was so horrible.

#2744604 Brandin Cooks Surprises His Mom

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on Yesterday, 09:08 AM

1.  your family is just as capable of manipulating and stealing from you as any "crew".  i'm not talking about mom here-every cousin, nephew, and niece is going to want a piece of that.  and get this: it's also a lot harder to say no to cousin bobby and his can't-miss business venture than some random asshole.  this is something we've seen over and over again among pro football players.

2.  suggesting that a guy who is going to get a few million guaranteed on a mid-late first round rookie deal shouldn't make a habit of buying luxury SUVs cash before he's even played a down of football doesn't make me stupid just because you've been emotionally manipulated by a news story.

3.  he isn't going to get his fug you money until his fifth year option is picked up (the value of which depends on where he's drafted) or he gets a second contract which is years out from now.  that's if he makes it that far that is which is a roll of the dice as we all know.

#2737140 Would Gettleman have drafted Cam?

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on 12 April 2014 - 07:41 AM

Gettleman hasn't done squat nor put his signature on this team. This is a Hurney core carrying a bunch of misfits Gettleman brings in. Until Gettleman can sit in front of a high demand FA and convince him to sign with us he'll never get his peers' respect and this team will always be the underdog that overachieves. Star falling to us was the most obvious decision to make. This off season is going to stain him and he better show results soon. Now he's just known as the laughing stock who cut his entire receiving corps after 12 win season.

now we're still going off a sample size of one here right

the previous draft and free agency that produced a 12 win season, correct?

#2735979 I'm glad this whiny bitch isn't a Panther...

I swear there have been like four different accounts posting the exact same poo about Steve Smith.

#2734437 D-Will in shock over loss of receiving corp

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on 10 April 2014 - 12:21 PM

wow this is turning out to be more fun than i expected

mike goodson: 4.7 ypc/career

e: that stat was a bit out of context and i'd like to apologize as it's on the wrong scale for what was posted about lynch/williams.  goodson's 2013 ypc was actually 8.7 which makes him twice as good as lynch or williams.  sorry for the confusion.

calvin johnson yards per reception: 17.8

sorry lions fans but i think the numbers clearly show who is better

#2733243 Modern bands influenced by the Beatles

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on 09 April 2014 - 05:39 PM

The Beatles didn't influence all these bands.

Today's bands are influenced by 80/90s bands such as Metallica.

80/90s bands were influenced by 70s bands such as AC/DC.

70s bands were influenced by Chuck Berry, not the freaking Beatles.

game over, close this topic

Beatles = Backstreet Boys = One Direction

Why are you listening to boy bands?

oh it's this hilarious and edgy angle again

#2732175 Colin Cole re-signs with Panthers

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on 08 April 2014 - 07:37 PM

NFLTradeRumors.com:
"According to Pro Football Focus , Cole was the No. 61 defensive tackle out of 69 qualifying players last year and struggled in both run and pass defense."

Panthers blog's 2013 season review:
"Colin Cole
Defensive Statistics: played in 316 of the Panthers' 1036 defensive snaps for 30.5% of defensive snaps, 17 total tackles, 1 sack
...
Cole was highly ineffective when on the field, graded poorly on a consistent basis by PFF, and by all rights should not “start” another game for the Panthers. The best that could be said is that Cole was a “serviceable” role-player, but if he enters the 2014 season as any more than depth we should all be very surprised."

yeah we have two budding blue chip defensive tackles so that's what his role is.  i mean who didn't know this.

#2732166 Saints still signing players, Champ Bailey to 2 yr deal

Posted by Nicks To The Colts on 08 April 2014 - 07:30 PM

yeah pat everything the panthers do is terrible.  meanwhile everything the saints do is great.

it's almost like we've been seeing the exact same thing on this board for two years
