#2675525 Greg Hardy up next on first take

Indeed. He did okay. Certainly would never want him to represent is as an organization. However, he is probably one of the best head cases for opposing defense due to his ego alone lol

#2638190 Leave the game ALONE GOODELL!

A. Do you seriously not understand how it changes the game???

B. yeah, cause like the NBA, the NFL is desperately struggling to make profit. By getting rid of the extra points, they can draw in NUMEROUS more viewers!!! (Sarcasm)

'Profit' is the biggest joke of a reason I have heard yet.

The people on this site who have been supportive of, or just don't mind getting rid of the extra point are stupid. Sorry, it's just how it is.

The argument that it won't change anything, only speed up the game is seriously the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Why?

As it stands now, a touchdown + extra point is greater than two field goals. Taking away the extra point eliminates this.

Those who argue that the 2 point conversion would take its place, this again makes no sense. It's more dangerous to run a play than to kick a point after. Players (star players no less) are more likely to get injured. AND it takes some strategy out of the game when a team decides to go for it with time on the clock, etc.

The simple fact is, it literally changes the entire landscape of the game. Period. Games are SO often decides by one point. 21-20 for example. Or decided by 4 points. 20-17. Take away the point after and all these games are dramatically different. Teams can settle for FGs late in games as opposed to being forced to drive the length of the field, etc.

It's not $%#?ing broken so stop trying to fix it!!! It amazes me how many people want to see this happen. It literally changes SO MANY aspects of the game. How do some of you not see this???

#2619186 Andre Johnson

Posted by TheMostInterestingMan on 16 January 2014 - 05:18 PM

The thing that makes this site hilarious is that one minute we are talking about how Hurney ruined us with cap space and that we don't have enough money to resign Mitchell and the next we are talking about signing Andre Johnson. Sorry fellas. That's not gonna happen. Hakeem Nicks or Jeremy Maclin maybe. But that's as big as our WR signing could get in free agency.

I got chills when I saw riverboats reaction after Hixon caught the game winner yesterday. Anyone have a gif by any chance? I would live to use it as a sig.

Madden has RUINED the minds of sports fans. Why can't people just shut up and think a little bit. You can't go sign every free agent every offseason. Every single year there are one million posts about how Hurney sucks, we never sign people, etc. How about STFU and chill out. Why not join the bandwagon of the cowboys, or redskins? They go out and sign top free agents almost every year. They also lose almost every year. Smart teams, such as the Pats and Steelers built their teams primarily through the draft.

Now, why would they do this? Because you can get good quality for a good price, rather than good quality for a WAY to large of a price. That allows you to resign your core. Who are the Carolina Panthers core? Cam, Beason, Johnson, Gamble, Gross, and new ones to be added in the draft. Hurney is not overrated. He is not an idiot. He is also not bankrupting our team like the majority of posters would do if they were in his position.

Signing free agents is fun and exciting. I wish we had made a few bids at a few players. However, that being said, it is stupid to posts threads about how Hurney sucks because he didn't go sign this guy and that guy. That is not reality. And the few teams that do that, rarely win that way.

I understand some are disappointed because we didn't sign another big name to the team. But don't rip the FO because of it. Always remember that

A) we could be stuck with the Raiders FO (who are idiots)

and B) we are on the way to success and we don't need big FA's to get there. We just need a little more time and one or two good drafts.

So please stop talking about how stupid the Panthers are for goodness sakes. Thanks.

Don't listen to the majority of these huddle posters bro. Thanks for sharing your encounter. Half the guys on this forum just go around trolling their own teams forum trying to get pie by making smart ass comments that they think would be funny if they were said by Daniel Tosh. Most of them are not even capable of having a formal debate. I said two years ago that Matt Moore was not the answer and we should draft another QB for the future. It was unreal how crucified I was for making such a statement. I ended up having to make another name to go by on this site, because anytime I posted, people hated on everything I said.

Funny thing is, I was right. Zod even made a post saying he vowed to be 100% behind Matt Moore and everybody on here sucked his junk and joined in. Funny how fast that turned around. Most the guys on here can be blind by their hommerism time to time. I say all that just to say, thanks for sharing and screw all the guys giving you flack for it. They are just jealous. Its cool you had a little chat with the coach bro. thumbsup

#1055902 Radiohead New Album

Posted by TheMostInterestingMan on 19 February 2011 - 03:44 PM

I wouldn't compare Maroon 5 to Radiohead... in fact I think Thom Yorke would probably be offended to hear that. Radiohead is certainly a pioneer in rock music and to many different artists, but they have tutored many better bands than maroon 5... as my favorite Thom Yorke quote of all time would indicate "They wouldn't let us play at the Grammy awards because they said we weren't good for the ratings. We were so happy man."

Win Butler of Arcade Fire is a HUGE fan of Thom Yorke and let me just say... Arcade Fire OWNS everybody else that was invited to the Grammy's. All you guys crying that Eminem, Lady Antebullcrap, Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, and all those other clowns didn't win STFU. (I am now venting on things that make me angry...). First, you probably don''t even know how the Grammy's are voted for. The people that vote have to have their Majors degree or better in music arts. Also, they SHOULD be talented, such as Arcade Fire, who actually writes there own music and plays instruments (unlike EVERYBODY else at the Grammy's). Arcade Fire is a pioneer for American Indie music and the fact that so many people gave them crap for winning just shows how far behind America is in musical taste. Its one thing if you don't like Arcade Fire, but if you don't appreciate them then you know nothing about music at all. I hate Eminem, but I respect the fact he is talented at what he does. That being said, Arcade Fire deserved to when. Until Eminem starts composing his own beats, he shouldn't be considered for such an award.

Anyways, Radiohead is kinda the all time great at true artistic music. Many can't appreciate it because they are not musicians. Those that are, realize Thom Yorke is a mastermind. Radiohead = real music.

#1031610 Who's album are you looking forward to this year?

Posted by TheMostInterestingMan on 04 February 2011 - 07:49 AM

Morning Teleportation

Their debut album is due out in March, check out the first single here:

Wow, I am impressed you even know who they are dude, props to you! They put on one hell of a live show. Saw them open for Modest Mouse at the Orange Peel a little while back. They were damn near better than Mouse live. High energy and very interactive with the fans. Me and a buddy hung out with the drummer for about 15 minutes after the show. He gave me a silly band
