#2898269 Shooting in Missouri sparks protests, looting

I mean, if we're (MH) questioning the logic of these two characters, why would someone go into a gas station, and blantly steal an item that costs 2 dollars?

I don't put any credence nor value on the stiry about the store. Really has no bearing in the situation in my mind.

The way the local police in Ferguson have handled this from the moment it happened doesn't give me much hope for a proper investigation.

There is so much mismanagement and mistrust in this situation that I don't think a real resolution will ever be found.

what about the ones that said the opposite? Also Mike Browns body showed no signs of a struggle, would breaking ones orbital bone cause any damage to your hand?

At this point we need more information released. Was there any bullet holes in the cop car? how far were the shots fired? where was the body in relation to the cops car etc.

I 100% agree with you that more info is needed to truly understand what happened. And, I hope that it us there and does come out.

If this cop is guilty of murder, I want him to face punishment to the fullest extent if the law. If it was justified, I hope the evidence prices it beyond a doubt.

Sadly, I don't think that will happen.

In response to the bolded part, that's not entirely accurate about the autopsy. Also I to can easily come up with reasons for those claiming another version to lie.

Seems like your mind is made up, you only trust a particular group of witnesses.

Also it's no more of a ridiculous assertion, it is coming from the mouth of witnesses, just like your scenario that you choose to believe.

I can 100% buy that the cop over reacted.

I can 100% buy that Brown instigated the altercation.

I can 100% believe that either side would lie in this situation.

However, believing that a cop executed a teenager who was on his knees surrendering just seems totally unbelievable.

You do realize there are just as many witness, even ones taking video after it happened that told a different story.

I do realize that there are people claiming that Brown was running away as the cop gunned him down...however the autospsy and physical evidence do not support this.  But....they wouldn't lie to make a white cop look like a cold blooded killer....nah that would not happen.

The video I am talking about was African Americans who saw what happened...video taped the aftermath....was talking about it.  And were VERY clear that Brown "just kept coming at the cop" while it all was happening.

We probably never will know what exactly happened.  But the assertion that this was just an innocent kid who was on his knees with his hands up....while a cop executed him in cold blood....is absolutely ridiculous.

Of course you are right.

The Patriots are notorious for signing guys who can't play.

I would kick TonyN in the nuts for being an idiot....but I am pretty sure that I wouldn't hit anything. So, it would just be wasted effort.

A couple of days ago the conservative posts and articles were all about how stopping militaized police was something conservatives, liberals, blacks, whites, etc. could agree on -

now it's "heres a video of him stealing something, see the cops are great, it's those people again"

Not sure that anyone on here has said anything even remotely close to that.

That doesn't include Housing, Food, as well as certain course associated fees.  Might not matter to much if the student lives near the school, but someone coming from out of area will need those things.  I checked into sending my son to UNCC this summer, and the total cost was around 14-16 thousand a year, somewhere between your numbers and Madhatters.

Exactly.

These numbers came right off the UNCC website....

On Campus....$6,500 tuition....$1,200 Books....$11,600 Room and Board. That is $19k per year....and does not include any incidentals, travel, etc.

They had another $3k for (misc, insurance, and travel).  I always exclude those as they can vary so much.

Hey now.....there is NO reason to bring his mom into this conversation.

#2891169 Official Panthers - Chiefs Predictions Thread....

Posted by MadHatter on 15 August 2014 - 08:49 AM

My prediction is that I will be sitting in a condo in Myrtle Beach with the family unable to watch the game.....not really a prediction, more like reality.

Also predict that my tickets are going to good use.

Gave all 4 to one of the guys that works for my landscaper.  Was talking to him a month or so ago and he was saying how his two boys had come to love the Panthers....they have only been in the country for 2 years.  But, he said that he had no idea when he would ever be able to take them.

Really cool to see how excited he truly was to be able to take his wife and 2 boys to the game and was so appreciative.  We need more fans like him.

The wife just said that some of the medicines taken with Parkinsons cannot be taken with anti depressants

That is 100% true.

My grandmother progressed to an extreme case of Parkinson's before she died.  It was gut wrenching to watch her wither away to nothing.  Doctor's said that her mental acuity and understanding was still sharp as a tack....but she was trapped in a body that woudl not repsond.

That would be my definition of true hell.
