#3224244 Panthers 2015 Free Agent Analyses and Predictions - Part 1

There is a zero percent chance that Hardy plays again for the Panthers.  We need to accept that fact.

#3224010 Rivera up for Coach of the Year Again

Posted by MadHatter on 30 January 2015 - 09:23 AM

Take off your cape my brother.

Lol at worst roster in nfl. Watch more football my dude.

Our OL was a train wreck....our WR corp was a rookie and three slow journemen....our RB's were hurt much of the season....we had our best DE gone for the entire season....our DB's consisted of bargain bin signings early in the season and rookies in the last 1/3 of the season.

If you cannot see that this is a very questionable roster and that Rivera actually did a lot with a little, then it is YOU that should watch more football....Dude.

#3222379 Lafell takes high road in interview about his parting ways with the Panthers

Posted by MadHatter on 28 January 2015 - 11:38 AM

I wouldn't bet money on that.

Lafell didn't lack the talent here, he lacked the focus and will to become our top target.

Even with Smith out a few games in 2013, Lafell had zero catches for zero yards in Atlanta. Olsen had to take over for us. Then after the game Lafell basically said that he wasn't sure he even wanted the pressure and responsibility of being the main guy. That's why he isn't here.

I defended him from a lot of the backlash he received from fans, but even I couldn't anymore by the end of the 2013 season.

He all but disappeared those last several games.

My point exactly.

LaFell had every opportunity to step up and be a #1 WR here or even a top #2 WR.  He did not take advantage of them.

I think he is more focused now.  However, let's not forget that Brady (as much as people hate him) has made a career out of making marginal WR's look good.

I would take Lafell back at the contract he signed last year. But we were trying to think long term. I think the Panthers would have been better keeping Lafell but I could see us drafting someone in the next couple years that would have taken his job anyways. He's a jack of all trades, master of none. His best attribute is being a physical blocker and runner.

Without Brady throwing to him, he is still the same avg to below avg WR.

#3221618 Teddy Bruschi unloads on Hurney and Panthers

Posted by MadHatter on 27 January 2015 - 02:44 PM

If we were out played and out coached, they wouldn't have won it on the leg of their kicker.

He ain't smart.

Exactly......they needed a last second FG to beat a team that EVERYONE thought should get blown out.

#3218143 Hurney on Pats: Culture of Cheating

Convenient nobody will ask Hurney about that, though.

Read the article....already addressed and admitted to

#3217252 Dave Gettleman to Marty Hurney - You left us a cap mess, but drafted a hell o...

Posted by MadHatter on 22 January 2015 - 04:15 PM

After 10 years a lot of GM'S numbers look like that. Doesn't change the fact the core of the team is Hurney picks..

Hurney drafted well in Round 1....after that, he was well below average.

That "seems" to be where Gettleman is far superior.

#3217223 Bill Voth's chat with Gettleman: Understanding offseason plans

Posted by MadHatter on 22 January 2015 - 04:00 PM

Need influences what BPA for a team

If there are two equally graded players and one is of a position of need....you take the position of need.

If there are two players graded very closely and one is of need....you usually take the need.

If the position of need is graded many positions below another player....the need has no impact on the pick.

#3214609 Rivera and Dave showed up to CJ's grandmother funeral.

Posted by MadHatter on 20 January 2015 - 02:10 PM

Riveras jacket and pants don't match 😞

That is because he is not wearing a suit.

He is wearing dress pants and a sports coat.

Although, I always think a funeral warrants a full suit.

Setting a few fires in trash cans vs. burning cars, smashing windows, and stealing goods from stores.

Nice try, but you FAIL....yet again.

Lance not going nowhere

Which means he is going somewhere....

#3204421 Steve Smith attempted to fight Jermaine Wiggins after loss?

Posted by MadHatter on 14 January 2015 - 09:35 AM

I'm a big Smitty fan, but I hated to read that this happened in front of the other guys wife and kids.  I thought Smitty was better than this.  Otherwise, I have no issue with the altercation.

What is Smith's past would ever lead you to believe he is "better than this".

Smith is and always has been a complete ass and punk.  Difference is that he used to be our punk and we made excuses for and overlooked his crap.

#3202402 Ohio State Offensive Line

Posted by MadHatter on 13 January 2015 - 07:44 AM

And the center?  He's obviously ambidextrous.

If the center played at NCSU he would be "amphibious...cause he can use both hands".

Just a little Chris Washburn humor.

#3191604 Official Panthers at Seahawks divisional playoff GameDay Thread...

Not to mention posts and insight from someone inside the locker room and on the field every game.

Oh and Maddy. But that might not be a positive for you.

I have no issues with anyone wanting to pay to get those "perks". But don't insult those that do not really see them as a big deal.
