New Todd Mcshay Mock Draft First Two Rounds

Recommended Posts

He produced in college and has freakish measurables.

Dude played almost every position on UNC's dline and was successful.

Way safer than Poe.

Coples production really isn't that great for someone who has such freakish measurables as you say.

Give me Mercilus in the second and I'd be much happier.

Edit: Yeah, I just realized Mercilus is projected to go much higher than I expected. You only hear a few names with these projections usually and I figured that meant he was out of the first round.

Lafell really came along last year showing nice / improved hands and being clutch!

WR is not a need RIGHT NOW imo

Smitty is still aging. We have no one in the stable to replace him....and LaFell looks to be turning into a solid player (nothing special though). That is all those outside see.....

Those outside also don't take the fan angle that Gettis. they dont think hr should counted as anything but a body at this point.

I dont really agree with this but I could see it playing out that way. Still no way the Rams don't take a WR. They are in some serious need for some help with Bradford and just signed Finnegan

Lafell = nothing special?!?!

I saw plenty of insane catches last yr in the clutch and he showed greatly improved hands!

Lafell has the potential to be a very good player for us.

Although I think Brockers would be the safer pick at DT, wouldn't mind seeing what Poe had to offer the NFL. Jenkins is what intrigues me. That would be interesting and bold.

Neither of them are safe. Everyone knows how great Cople's talents are, in fact I've stated numerous times that if hes there, the Panthers should draft him, but its not a safe pick.

Would love it.

Id rather have brockers or cox over Poe though.

Poe is more of a risk imo. You could also say that about brockers but he played in a tougher conference.

Jenkins in the second would be a dream scenario....

Not really, hes the 4th ranked CB on NFLDraftScout. And as i've said, the word going around now is that he won't go in the first round. Now that ALWAYS changes, but he isn't a lock to go in the first

Scariest thing to me is in most mocks they have richardson being selected by bucs. Who thinks our moves are going to be dictated by their pick? DT looks like a lock if so imo. Still like trading back in this yrs draft.

I am sure they are considering his background and that's why he is the 4th. But really, as far as talent is concerned he is either 1 or 2.

He's not better than Claiborne. Can make an argument that he can compete with being 2nd CB taken talent wise. Dre and Gilmore being in the convo. Gilmore is a 2nd round pick.

I will say that all it takes is for 1 person to be drafted 'too high' for other teams to jump in and start pouncing.

From what I have seen and I watch tons of CFB, he is just as good as him. Claiborne size might give him the slight edge. Janoris has top 10 talent. Gilmore and Dre are selected ahead of him because they are safer picks.
