I mean, over 1/3rd of the league had to play their backup QB in meaningful regular season games last year. And I believe a majorly of the playoff teams did. And I’m not talking because they rested guys, it’s was due to injuries to the starters. Its a contact sport. No matter how big or small your QB is, he can get hurt. And probably will have at least 1 injury in his career. You need a good backup, to help win you games when called upon. i mean heck, our Fugging HC won a Super Bowl as a OC after his starting QB was having a favorite win MVP season, got hurt.
