You do realize that rd2-7 QB success is less than 1/4th of that right.?
-
Bozeman actually was a pretty damn good fit here and expect him to resign. even then. Very few teams are investing premium 1st rd picks on Centers.
-
But you’re not using premium draft capital on “depth”
-
So your alright with throwing 2 1st rd picks back to back at a QB3-4 in a draft class vs spending. 2-3 1sts for a QB1-2 in a class?
-
I’ve seen a lot of push back regarding trading up for a QB giving away future 1sts and potentially a 2nd this year to move up for a QB? But what “holes” are we concerned about? digging deeper looking at this roster and roster construction across the league. what are the most important foundation pieces In Todays league and what are the most common drafted positions in the top 15 in todays NFL? LT- blindside protection. Franchise LTs are up there. Edge Rusher- Franchise number 1 edge rusher. Getting after the QB WR- teams go try to find that go to #1 WR CB- CB1, A true shutdown CB’s now let’s review our last 5 1st rd picks who are under contract and or looking to be Extended Ickem (LT), Horn (CB), Brown, Burns (Edge), DJ (WR1) now let’s move onto our “holes” how many teams across the league, their #2 WR was a guy they drafted in rd 1? How many top teams in the NFL drafted their TE in rd 1? How many teams invested their 1st rd pick in a CB2-3 How many teams across the league without a QB invested a 1st rd pick on a #2 edge rusher? Buffalo’s only 1st rd pick on offense is Allen and only 1st rd picks on D are CB, Edge, DT, and LB The Bengals only 1st rd picks on Offense is their WR1, LT, and QB. Defensively, the only guy in the First 2 rds is their Safety who was a 2nd rounder and hitting FA. point is. We are in good position to trade future picks to move up for the QB we like.

Thing that’s got Levis over them is arm strength and plays in a pro style offense
-
Haha tried to go back and edit that to “coming” but wouldn’t let me
-
People were on his “bandwagon” well well before then. Its crazy how quickly we forget people were talking him up this time last year the same way we are talking about Drake and Caleb Today
-
McKee reminds me of that other Stanford QB in Houston right now.
-
Hooker is a great guy and a solid QB. But there’s a reason why he never really got the hype outside of this area as far as a NFL prospect even before the injury. He is a similar athlete and similar arm strength as Corral. But the system hurts him similar as it did to Corral etc. The hype around here is driven because he’s a local kid and both schools he played at have big fan bases in the area. here is a good write up on the system he plays in. https://footballscoop.com/.amp/news/high-level-qb-trainer-says-art-briles-gus-malzahn-offenses-furthest-thing-from-nfl-offenses if this were 2 years ago I’d take him. But we just did this with Corral last year.
-
He probably wasn’t even going to play this year anyways without the injury. He’s got a Huge leaning curb like Corral did coking from the offense he played at Tennessee
-
The Willis to number 2 hype never even started until he did his roll out long pass on his Proday. This time last year, they were still saying early 2nd late 1st. Stroud and Young have been hyped for a while. And a lot of people were talking about tanking for these 2 the same way they are Drake and Caleb today.
-
Probably closer to early 2nd. His age and the offense he was playing in really hurts him.
-
He’s a major upgrade over what they had at QB. And good enough to beat us if we don’t upgrade our situation at QB.
-
Let’s time travel to last year
-
You’re starting to sound like our friend chuck, who’s had 100+ alts banned from here.

London had a good partial season. But still has proven nothing. He didn’t do anything more than Kelvin Benjamin did his rookie year. Their OL improved. But we’ll see how that last. Their best OL is Matthew’s at LT who getting up there in age with a contract they talk about every year if they need to move.
-
Didn’t Rhule have roster control too? He tell one of his own guys he isn’t OOU?
-
This And just look at the overall roster. People bitch and moan about our defense. But the fact is, we have a whole lot more to work with on that side, and it’s not Close. We have a better OL in place (if Bozeman is resigned) We have a Number 1 WR locked in. We’re just in a better position now to drop in a QB.
-
As Daniel Jeremiah said the other day “If you like one of these QBs, you have to take them. There’s no assurances you’ll have a top 2 pick next year. And if you get 3. 1 and 2 aren’t going to trade off those guys.” “You can’t afford to play the waiting game” you can have all the picks. AND #3 Teams at the top aren’t moving off that level of QB prospect.
-
I’ve been wondering about them. Though with their history. I think they’d stand Pat and take Richardson with Atlanta’s pick.
-
This multiple people who cover the Panthers already have pointed this out. We don’t have any more holes on D now than we did before. Just the holes may shifted a tad. we needed a SDE before in the 4-3 where YGM is, well now it’s at 3-4 DE.

QB whisper or not if you give a 5* chef a pile of sh!T and bread. He’s going to give you a sh!t sandwhich.
