  1. Can someone tell me why every gotdamn scandal in the world needs the word gate as a suffix? Like there wasn't any scandal prior to watergate? Deflategate has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life, and if you are a professional journalist using that word you should kill yourself.
  2. The real embarrassing thing is that a DB and a defensive lineman can catch Andrew Luck's properly inflated footballs better than his WR's can.
  3. Unfortunately, the NFL is in a really tough spot with this, because it will cause a suspicion to be cast over the biggest game of the year. That being said, here's how I see it playing out: The referees check the balls and hold them right up until game time. They are then given back to each teams equipment manager. The NFL absolutely cannot afford to suspend Billichek or Brady or have there legacy even more tarnished by this poo, because Bob Craft has Goodell in his pocket. So either a ball boy or equipment manager or both will take the fall for this and say they did it without Brady or BB's knowledge. They will say they knew Tom preferred to use a less inflated ball, so they did it without his knowledge or consent to try and help him out. That guy will be the patsy in this (much like the videographer in spygate), and the Patriots juggernaut will keep moving forward. Maybe a loss of some sort of a draft pick but I doubt it because again, they'll say it was done without organizational knowledge. 10 years from now, or right around the time Brady is due to enter the HOF, the ball boy will get a check for $50K from TMZ for telling his story and for providing evidence that BB and Brady DID in fact know about it and more drama will come up, with the faux outrage and the whole bit. That's how I see this going down.
  4. Honestly I would love to re watch the game. I'd like to go play by play and see how many non-Patriot hands touch the ball after each offensive Patriot play. Between the other team and the refs and everything there has to be over a hundred times that the balls were touched (let's be grown ups here) without someone noticing the significant difference until one guy on the Colts noticed something. Presumably then they would have used another ball that the Patriots scored 28 unanswered points with. I know if it was our team I'd probably be bitching a lot more but until I seem some irrefutable timeline I'm gonna wait to destroy Brady and Bellichik, even though I'd love too.
  5. So it was found that 11 of 12 patriots balls were under inflated. I still couldn't care any less. The refs have multiple opportunities between every single play to see if the ball has been altered. So it is obviously so insignificant of an amount that they didn't notice it even though the side judge, linesman, and referee all touch the ball almost before every play. And they scored 28 points after this was supposedly brought to their attention. The Colts are reaching new lows with this silly poo.
  6. Man if only NFL rules allowed you to run with the ball after catching a punt. Then this kid would have some serious value.
  7. Dubs really turned it up in the final four minutes. Great win. 19-2.
  8. Kevin Love mad that the Warriors didn't pull the trigger and give up Klay Thompson. Sorry Kevin, not gonna happen.
  9. Follow this man. He knows poo. And yes I mean that in the way you think I do. Sent from my iPhone using CarolinaHuddle
  10. Yeah I'm from a town called Fremont. So it's Montsta because the last 4 letters in Fremont. A lot of people miss that.
  11. I like the New Balance kicks Mr. Igo. There is something to be said about the no frills approach to photography. If espn talking heads were describing you they'd say you're a grinder, a real lunch pail kind of photographer. Sent from my iPhone using CarolinaHuddle
  12. If your nickname is Swole amongst a bunch of nfl players, then you are really, really fuging swole.
  13. I was speaking returns in general, including kickoffs. You are right he was much better in punt returns than kick returns (I think 23rd?), but if you look at Ginn's PR average at 9th versus the guy at like 25th, I think the difference is only a couple of yards. That's the point that I was trying to make that having a guy just hold on to the ball is fine with me, because outside of the elite return guys the difference in average per return wasn't all that significant in my opinion.
  14. I posted in another thread that Ginn was actually middle of the pack on returns if you went by average. As long as the person fielding punts can do so without muffing it completely, we should be ok.
  15. I look forward to co-hosting the Nerdvana segment of your next podcast. I'll get my Princess Leia costume dry cleaned.
  16. If Amini can come back healthy, it sure would be nice to have a stud opposite of him! Our tackles are poo but at least if the interior of our offensive line is stout it's a step in the right direction.
  17. I'm told girls don't poop either.
  18. Wait so some of you are going to go on the presumption of guilt until innocence is proven? I hope to god you are never on my jury.
  19. Were you or someone close to you a victim of domestic or maybe sexual violence?
  20. He kept saying please send someone. Could've wanted to hold her until the cops came to break it up and take a report. You let that woman out of your sight and she fug around and fall down the stairs, your ass is toast. Maybe he thought having his buddy Curtis hold her with minimal injuries is better than letting her go to hurt herself further.
  21. We did need a decent OT, unfortunately we picked 28th and 60th, and none were available at either of those picks.
  22. Well we've always known there were a few loose screws so I guess an arrest was always a possibility. Never thought it'd be for DV though.
