That pick makes no sense. 1.) We already spent a 3rd round pick on CJ Henderson. 2.) Deonte Jackson will count $13,589,167 against our cap in 2023. Are we going to sit a 13 million dollar CB? No. This draft pick is no happening and that's easy to predict. We will either select a QB, or maybe get a vet like Carr. Even with a vet QB we don't go CB imo.

Or with Carr we could do this: With Carr throwing to: Both are great redzone targets, and with DJ in his prime would be sick.

I would draft like this if we got Carr.

If I'm not mistaken we are still on the hook for CMC to the tune of $18,352,250 in 2023 because genius Fitt restructured him and then traded him after June 1st. That will hurt what we can offer to Carr. I'm sure Fitt will be "in on every deal" and I hope he doesn't screw this up. Yes I want Carr because if we land him, and use our draft picks wisely, see my draft thread, then we can really load this team up nicely. We'd actually have a good team next season imo. I'm just aiming for a good team at this point. I'll worry about if Carr can take us to the SB when we cross that bridge. I just want to go from poop to good soon. Fitt drafting a QB could lead us to a multi-season dumpster fire with a missing first in 2024. I like the Carr option.

If we have new scouts, then I wouldn't be as opposed to trading up. Then again, Corral looked like a complete dumpster fire from what I saw in preseason. New scouts would make me feel better though.

This comes down to what you think of our scouts and Fitt. When Fitt sat down with his scouts to discuss Sam Darnold they talked him up like he could be our long term answer at QB, and then Fitt picked up Sam's 5th year option. They lost their credibility in evaluating QBs the moment Sam came out of the tunnel and pooped the bed. At this point we obviously are going to continue to rely on Fitt and our scouts rather than firing them, but i don't want them using extra ammo to trade up for a QB. We need our 2024 first round pick in case their QB selection in 2023 is poop. Also, Frank brought in QBs to the Colts and they pooped the bed as well, so no extra ammo for Frank either. The smart play is to stay put and see which QB falls to the 9th pick. If no one does, then Corral starts, or go get a vet. If Corral poops the bed, then Fitt needs to go, and the scouts with him who were wanting Corral. Then in 2024 you have a new GM and scouts pick a new QB in the first round if possible. Letting Fitt panic and throw away multiple high draft picks on a QB who he isn't qualified to evaluate is madness. Fitt doesn't have the credibility. His decisions point to him being unqualified to evaluate veteran and college QBs, and his scouts as well. Putting this on Rhule is a cop out. The way I look at this situation is that Fitt will select one more QB, and that is his last shot. I want that last shot to be one 1st round pick, and nothing more. The 2024 and 2025 high draft picks need to be protected.

Sometimes Ika shows up even lower than where I selected him here. He should be a good NT at the next level. Zach looked like a real bargain with the 93 pick. We have not yet confirmed a move to 3-4, but I do pick Ika here and there because of the rumors.

It may be a hint as to where he was conceived.
