Well Baker knows his career is on the line this season. Is he going to be a career backup, or are long term starter? Here we go.

Remember when Justin Herbert went one pick ahead of us when we needed a QB and our scouts were in love with him? That can't happen again or we're screwed. We should have jumped over the Chargers to get Herbert, even if it meant our 2021 1st round pick was the price. We need to be prepared to move up for a QB in the draft, and trading vets for picks can help.

When we made the SB with Jake you could get away with grabbing a WR and stopping him from running his route. When the Jake led Panthers played the Eagles in our playoff run to the SB our DBs grabbed and held onto the Eagles WRs for dear life. No PI calls. Just look at that list of QBs who won, especially the more recent SBs. We're not winning the SB with Baker Mayfield. He doesn't belong with Tom Brady, Mahomes, Manning, Wilson, Rodgers, big Ben, Burrow, ect. That's how you know if you're going to have a shot at winning the SB. Look at your QB. We'll be drafting one in 2023, or we're just idiotic.

Old school smash mouth with an game manager QB is not going to win Super Bowls. If you're cool with not winning SBs, then really all we need is Baker and a better defense. Then we can get our 8 wins and once in a blue moon make the playoffs. Without a top tier QB you are relying on a middle or lower tier QB having a season where he just plays well beyond his talent level. Like Bake would have to suddenly start playing as well as prime Tom Brady for us to have a shot at the SB. It's not impossible, but you'd be considered an idiot if you expected that to happen. The huddle loves defense and running the ball a lot. That is because Panthers fans grew up with Fox ball, and later RR. This is a LBer loving fan base. Wow look at him tackle! He's a humble lunch pale guy who works hard! The reality is that we need a superstar QB and some arrogant track star WRs to put the ball down the field and in the endzone. Tall, fast, explosive WRs and a tall QB who can drop dimes.

If we could trade either Sam or Baker it would be a huge win even for a lower round pick. We have 4 terrible QBs on this team. Need to flush the toilet.

I expect injury announcements for CMC weekly. The reason CMC is in there a lot is because coaching jobs are on the line. So we have a difference of opinion. You want him to sit more to avoid injury, and I want to play him more and if he gets injured, so be it. Fair enough.
