  1. Morgan was an elite MLB. If he had had a full career who knows where he would have stood. I don't think we make SB 38 without him. I do believe his playing days will help find those "Luvu" type of players. Especially defensively. Our defensive players we've sign this off-season makes me feel those are young hungry guys looking to get their careers rebooted. I also believe Evero is 100% on board. I believe 2 of our signees are former players of his. Hit or miss I think he's poking in the right direction.
  2. Those numbers go down each day he isn't signed.
  3. At one point I saw where we would be interested in Ogbah. What's the take on him?
  4. IMO the greatest thing I like about signing Johnson is that he is considered one of the best route runners in the league. For Bryce Young this is huge. He now has Theilen and Johnson. Hopefully, he can help with Mingo and TMJ and get them to be better route runners.
  5. Below is the list of available DEs. Some of these guys are at the end of their careers. A one year deal might help us fill a void until we can get some fresh talent onboard. Any of these players interest you?
  6. Exactly. You have to take into account who we signed with that extra money as part of this trade. If we add three or four good players from the money we saved those assets should be considered part of the trade.
  7. Most definitely. When Chase went to SF he did very little for them after the trade. I don't know whether the injury he suffered affected his play or he is just washed up. Low salary, good deal. High Salary, No Way,.
  8. Agreed. Rather have two young studs who can mesh with Young than Higgins. Especially since we have no idea how well he'll work with Young.
  9. Especially since this draft is deep in WR. Rather have 2 young stars on rookie deals that to deal with Higgins. Isn't he a Primadona? Someone who complains if he doesn't get the ball. I'm asking.
  10. I hope you are right. You don't trade two for one. Dan Orlovsky made it clear. If you are going to trade, make it where you address two for one. We would be doing One for Two and we lose two players in the Top 40. Makes no sense.
  11. IDK Chase did very little after his trade last year. While me might thrive in Evero's defense I am very skeptical about signing him. Then again, he may only need a reboot. If we did sign him and Evero gets the dawg in him that he used to have. Who knows.
  12. We have to add what free agents we pick up with the extra 24 Million we get from Burns as part of this trade deal. If we had several quality players than we win on this deal. We just have to wait and see.
  13. We can bitch and moan about the trade that never happened and things aren't going to change. I would venture to say this was probably our best offer for Burns. It didn't help much with the tweet a couple of days ago saying Burns was worth on a 3rd. It frees up 24 million and hopefully we find a DE that will make this loss less of a sting. I can't remember his name but there is an edge rusher from Dallas that played well last year and is on the market. Maybe Morgan has his eyes on him. One other thing about this trade that should be taken into consideration. That's what Morgan does with the 24 million we just freed up.
  14. Never played Madden a day in my life. Secondly, I agree our WR were crap and didn't help much but there were several times by the time Young dropped back the defense was already on him. I would argue that 60+ times being sacked isn't on the WRs. Agreed?
  15. I've said all along that our line has to be stellar for Young to succeed. Hopefully, this is in the right direction.
  16. I got a bad feeling about this. I think we are going to lose Luvu. This deal should have been done a long time ago. Luvu probably wants to play for a winner, and we are years away from that.
  17. Reminds me of 2010 when the new collective bargaining agreement was still in process. We didn't sign anyone of substance and just carried over to 2011 when we drafted Cam.
  18. This is absolutely insane. How the hell did anyone think a rookie QB is going to get this in a week? I've always thought that had we drafted Stroud he would have similar outcome as Young. Maybe win a game or so more because he's a bit harder to bring down than our featherweight QB. The difference in philosophy between Reich, Brown and Campen obviously played a big part.
  19. With the lack of funds it is going to be difficult to sign Free Agents and keep Luvu and Burns. That said there is NO WAY Morgan accepts a 3rd for Burns. We would have to keep him. Maybe get a better offer in a trade at the trade deadline.
  20. The audacity of him to say he wants partial ownership in the franchise that drafts him is what really annoys me. You are an unproven rookie with a big mouth. He'll run himself right out of the city that drafts him.
  21. I sure the hell hope so. Other teams are signing their players they want to keep, and we haven't heard a peep out of our front office. It is starting to feel like all our free agents are looking to get the hell out of Carolina. Looks like 2024 is going to be a rough year.
  22. Kris Jenkins 2.0 Another generation for the Carolina Panthers. I don't know much about the kid but would love to have KJ son on our team just for nostalgic reasons.
  23. My reason, beyond the draft picks, that makes we want to get him traded. Evero seems to really know how to make the most out of what we have. I think we could find a FA that could fill the roll for a year or two while we build a new team. Evero will make the adjustment. Keeping Burns, though he is a very talented player, doesn't really help us move past the Rhule/Reich mess we have had. I think our best interest is signing and trading him or let someone offer him a deal through the NE franchise tag.
