Splash plays are important, but ball control is much more important. The longer we hold onto the ball the more we don't have to play catch-up.

I hope so too but there must have been some riff which kept him out of the line-up. This is why I think he is going to test the market. Hopefully DM signs him before we get to that point.

What I don't get is why it took so long to put him in. He should have been the first player off the bench when Hunt got hurt. I have a bad feeling he's not going to be here next season.

When your running game is producing 150+ ypg. 199 is sufficient. The object is to win the game. Passing enough to keep the defense guessing. 415 total yards is good. 261 and 3 TD is more to your liking? Got it. I know where you stand.

I think we are over emphasizing receiving stats. If he's moving the ball and getting it to the open receiver does it really matter who's #1 or #2? He was 68% yesterday but spread it around to 7 different receivers. Sure I'd like to see T-Mac or XL have a huge game but as long as we are moving the ball and winning what's the difference. As far as who we are beating. They are on the schedule and you try to beat who you play. I think our bigger issue is to minimize the early turnovers that put us in a deep hole. I am not sure whether Bryce can carry a team through the season when defenses focus on the running game but I'm hoping our receivers will be there to help him out when that day comes. ALL OF THEM.

My point in the OP was that talking heads were making a big deal about Rico being the top receiver in the game. We don't have or need to have a WR with 9 catches each game. I'd rather our QB spread it around and make plays. I don't seem to see anywhere this is nuthugging on Bryce.

Hard to argue with 200+ all-purpose yds. No doubt the best player on the field and arguably the best player in the league the last two weeks. I just like that Young is getting the ball to open receivers regardless of what position they play.

Well, it is about time we can be excited about playing on Sunday. It is fun to watch us compete. Win or lose at least we're not looking at the F'ing draft 6 weeks into the season.

I was listening to a PODCAST on YouTube and the host was talking about ICKY was selected because he was such a beast in the Run game. He's played well at LT but when we run the ball it is in his wheelhouse and it's fun to watch him destroy people.

Totally agree. I would take Young 100x over before I selected Fields. He looked totally lost yesterday. Curt Warner was going off on him. He has no sense of timing with his receiver. He waited several times instead of throwing the ball where the receiver is supposed to be. He waited until the receiver made his cut and the DB was able to recover and defend the pass. He's the reason why Denver has 9 sacks yesterday. I hope they switch to Tyrod after our game.

Not a good idea. I think 30 carries a game for Dowdle will burn him out. I love the idea of both of these backs getting their touches. I hope Canales has plays where both of them are on the field. If we can control the clock and put points on the board we have an opportunity to beat any high profile offense. Yesterday proved that point. Dallas was #1 offense in the league.

I watched the London game yesterday. The Jets defense did everything they could to keep them in the game against Denver. So, this isn't Dallas or Miami defense. They are quite good defensively. The Jets Offense - We should get our share of sacks against the Jets. Young>Fields. Fields holds the ball way too long which is why they have had so many sacks against them. Fields looks lost and out of sync. We need to continue to run the ball and Young manage the game. Keep the turnovers at a minimum and we can win this game. Go Panthers

I've always thought that Dan would be a good GM. Though the 2024 draft class has a lot of questions but I think the picks he has made were made with the future in mind, not so much of what you can do for me now but what you will do in the future. XL wasn't a first round talent but I think there is some growth with him and hope he gets better. Wallace is showing some serious improvement and I think our defense has improved greatly since he took over the play calling from Rozeboom. Sanders could really be good but he can't seem to stay healthy. 2025 draft class is really impressive. T-Mac will at minimum will be on the all-Rookie team. Our rookie edge rushers are playing well considering their rookie status. Edge is one of those position that normally take a couple of years development. Just all the rookies are really impressive. Horn IMO reminds me a bit of Agent 89. He won't be the beast that SS was but remember SS really didn't come into his own until 2003. Two full seasons after his draft pick. Overall Dan IMO has done a good job turning this roster around.

Such a huge relief after last year when 90% of the runs against us last year we're over 10ypc.
