Hubbard is #1 running back. After that it is a battle for #2. Brooks is a mystery, Etienne didn't show much last year. Dillon IMO probably has just as much of a chance to be #2 as anyone. I do believe we need to solid RBs. We saw what happened Rico down the stretch. He wasn't the same back that took over for Hubbard earlier in the season.

I can't see that happening. Too many IFs in the RB room. Hubbard is about the only RB we can count on as of now. If we destroy our RB room there is no way Young will succeed. We cannot become a throw first to open the running game. Bad Idea.

First Round Poll: Position Drafted
DaveThePanther2008 replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I really think that we are going BPA. I would like an OT but, it really is going to come down to the best player. Especially if it any one of the primary needs. -
Tony Pauline’s 2026 NFL Mock Draft 4.0

Detroit 2.0? That would be 3 WRs in a row in the first round. Didn't pan out to well for Detroit. I think we have more glaring needs than another WR. -
Much different time. College basketball plays many more games than. They did in Smith's ERA.

Nothing. Makes me happier than watch Duke miss the final four.

Hubert had one style and that was it. Never played his two big men at the same time. Minimal bench and never used what he had. I hope they bring in a young aggressive coach. Someone who can bring UNC back to greatness.

When it is our pick, it is highly possible that BPA could be any number of players. Considering all BPA players available i think LT is probably the biggest need. We are extremely thin at that position and injuries on the O-Line can kill a season especially LT. We'll see.

I thought I saw someone said he played well in his limited action near the end of the season. It sure would help our depth.

What a Possible Trading Out of 1st Round May* Look Like
DaveThePanther2008 replied to h0llywood's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree, if we are going to drop out of the first round this year, I'd like a 1st next year. It would put us in a pretty good position to get any player we wanted in 2027, especially if BY doesn't take the next step on this team. -
I know he played very little due to an injury. He's a huge man and hopefully no injuries this coming season. He could really be a factor if he can get some good reps. We definitely need some depth at interior D-line. Thoughts?

I hope that Horn Jr. really takes off this year. A lot of learning his rookie season. Hopefully we can find a way to get him the ball in open spaces.

Panthers signing Packers LT Rasheed Walker
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
From what I have heard about him is that he had a better pass blocking grade while Icky had a better run blocking grade. IMO it is far easier to be a better run blocker than pass blocking. I also think he'll be fine with our Oline. -
OT Yosh Nijman announces he’s retiring

Well that's a kick in the balls. Better get Decker if he's still available. -
Kamara to replace Dowdle?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think everyone is but the fact that he's coming off two major injuries has got to be a concern. I don't think we want to put the backup burden on Ettienne just yet. If we could get him at a decent price for a backup/#2 RB role I would go for it. Most of us do because he played for our most hated rival. I get it but if we sign him you need to get over it. -
Kamara to replace Dowdle?
DaveThePanther2008 replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe as a #1 back but a backup. I think would be good. -
Carolina Panthers linked to Saints star Alvin Kamara after Rico Dowdle exodus At the right price I would love it.

Panthers signing WR John Metchie
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
A lot of negativities about this signing. Everyone knows TMAC and Coker are our top receivers. Having someone you're familiar with is not a bad thing. If he pans out, we have a good top three. It's not like we broke the bank to bring him here. Let's see what comes of it before we start assuming. -
Cade Mays to the Lions, 3-Year $25 million
DaveThePanther2008 replied to scratched's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not implying that we hang our hat on it. But didn't we sign a UDFA from a small school that had a chance to be a good Center. Seems to me we were talking about this guy early in preseason last year. I just can't recall his name. -
BREAKING: Panthers sign QB Kenny Pickett
DaveThePanther2008 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wish we would have traded Dalton first. Now it is most likely going to cost us a pick because teams will now just wait for us to release Dalton.
