  1. They don't call deep throws because their QB can't see the receivers to throw deep. Bryce threw deep in college with a wish and a prayer because his receivers were so much more talented than the opposition.
  2. No I live in Wilmington and have so many things to take care of including my mom who cannot care for herself my dad was her caregiver. My life is going to be complex.
  3. Good luck with your cancer battle. It’s such a horrible thing. Like my dad did, fight until there’s no fight left to fight. Then go.
  4. I’d cut off my finger for another hour with him. I spent every moment I could with him these past few weeks once his health really declined. Cancer sucks.
  5. My dad passed away early this morning after battling cancer for roughly a year. He was 68. I was by his side until the end. I’m heartbroken because my wife is due with his granddaughter in December, who he will never get to meet. He fought as long as he could to meet her, but his cancer was too aggressive. One thing I always shared with my dad was watching Panthers games. I can’t count how many games we watched together. We would talk about the players, the schemes, the coaches, what plays we’d run in some situation…it was just a good way to get a father and son to talk to each other, and these are some of my most cherished memories. Not the Panthers, just the time I got to spend with my dad because of the team. He took me to my first Panthers game and many more over the years. My favorite memory as a Panthers fan is attending the Cowboys playoff game during the 2003 Super Bowl run. He kept telling me tickets were almost impossible to get and we probably couldn’t go, but on Christmas Day he surprised me by slipping the tickets into my stocking after opening the other presents. And what a great game that was to see, stomping the Cowboys at home. The stadium was electric that evening. The team sucks right now, I know, but man if they could pull out a win for my dad that would really mean a lot. He was a special guy, a much better man than me, and I could go on and on. I don’t know if this could get to the team or not, it probably wouldn’t make a difference even if it did, but I’m just hoping they win this one for him. Call your dad if he’s still in your life and tell him you love him. Thank you for reading.
  6. The answer here is when you have free time, feel free to check in with the team. But my advice is focus on your families and loved ones. If you don’t have family or loved ones, work on finding the love you need. We never know when it will be the last time we talk to people we care about. This is simply a game at the end of the day and a silly thing to get emotional about. I realize that now as I have gotten older. It’s still a fun distraction to rag on this group of inept bozos but it’s a joke that I can share with some people I care about. That’s all that matters.
  7. Spend time with your family. It’s important to tell the people you love that you love them because you never know when you’ll run out of time to say it. The Panthers don’t offer anything aside from misery and disappointment.
  8. Yes and no. Canales is young and inexperienced, and you expect some miscommunications and first game errors. What you can’t have is a QB overthrowing open receivers or adjusting blitz protection to the wrong side.
  9. Watch his game against Texas in 2022, Bryce was never going to make it in the NFL.
  10. Hard to judge Evero right now. They gutted the defense and replaced several positions with practice squad guys. Spent very little money on the defense compared to the offense this offseason. And when the offense is starting a QB has historically bad as Bryce Young it’s tough to say how bad the defense really is when your offense is turning the ball over and struggling to complete a pass.
  11. Defense has a lot of new players. There was bound to be a learning curve but giving up 47 takes a level of ineptitude. Doesn’t help that the entire team knows Bryce isn’t that guy. When you don’t believe in your QB this is what happens.
  12. I watched the first quarter from the emergency department at the hospital while my dad was getting chest scans then watched the rest of the game from a room but good news is he’s feeling a little bit better but the panthers definitely aren’t feeling better.
  13. No he won’t be. Quite possibly the dumbest decision Tepper could ever make. Young is a bust. Gotta give the guy a chance with a QB he picked.
  14. I don’t know how you could call 6’2 210 questionable size. Only concern with Ewers is being slightly injury prone.
  15. I am sure he took the job when the caveat to coach up Young his first season. To fire him after what we saw today would be insane. The scheme is there. Young is just not capable of playing in the NFL.
  16. I mean yea we all know that. But hey guy is admitting he has more to learn. I have this feeling that Tepper is telling him not to play starters because it’s been a theme in the previous coaches like Rhule in particular.
  17. Horn trying to stay healthy enough to get a big contract somewhere far away from this trash franchise
  18. And to make matters worse, Bryce made the wrong adjustments to counter the blitz. That makes it tough to support him.
  19. My guy he inherited a 2-15 team with a 5’9 weak armed bust at QB.
  20. There’s literally nothing we can garner from Canales this season. He had no input in the QB he has. If Tepper fires him after forcing Bryce Young on him, we honestly should boycott the team and burn the stadium down before he gets to spend all that taxpayer money on it.
