  1. So the plan at center was Austin Corbett who was a converted guard coming off an ACL tear. I think we all knew that wasn’t going to be a long term option. His backup Cade Mays is not a starting caliber player and did not have a good game. Constant pressure up the middle. Doesn’t hike the ball causing a delay of game on 4th down with the game on the line. This team has passed on many starting caliber centers in the draft the past few seasons for players, some of whom aren’t even on the roster or any nfl roster at this time. Center is a big priority in the draft. It’s beyond time for this team to draft the next long term center after patching it over with burned out FAs since Ryan Kalil retired.
  2. He’s a rookie. If he drops that in year 3 I’d fire him into the sun.
  3. This is the Panthers way. This team will never ever ever ever be an actual good team. They either win a bunch of close games one year or lose a bunch of close games, and occasionally they’re downright god awful.
  4. Haha how many times have we seen sh*t like that happen to the Panthers
  5. What is it with Pittsburgh and problem child WRs
  6. I’ll take Bryce he’s like 7 years younger and hasn’t hit his ceiling yet.
  7. On a real note, piñero has been largely good for the panthers. I recall John kasay having some random awful games in his career where he missed extra points and gimme field goals that cost the team the game. But if he doesn’t bounce back, cut him or put him on IR if he’s truly playing through injury.
  8. It’s going to be a great draft to trade down. They’ll need a lot of players on defense. They could draft literally any position on defense in the first round and they’d walk into a starting position.
  9. Hekker played like diarrhea as well. Maybe they were partying the night before
  10. He looks better than Jonathan Mingo did, so that’s a plus.
  11. One of the best catches I’ve ever seen a panthers player make. I bet Thielen wishes he was on another team though
  12. Only stat that matters is wins and losses and this team continues to lose games. A blowout loss counts the same in the standings as a 1 point loss. This team needs to figure out how to win.
  13. What about it, they are cursed too! Lions as well. Even when they’re good they’ll find ways to lose in excruciating fashion. Just wait until the playoffs, I don’t envy them.
  14. Can’t fight being a cursed franchise though. That sh*t is REAL.
  15. They’ve just returned to the level they were under Matt Rhule early on and Steve Wilks briefly. Not the worst team in the NFL but still a miserable garbage team. If they can ascend past this point I will be pleasantly surprised.
  16. Habit mostly. I was excited to post fun things about this game if they won because it would have “bucked” (no pun intended) all the previous curses the Panthers have battled in their existence but man did they EVER reassure me that this franchise is cursed and total dogsh*t tonight! It’s hilarious how predictably awful they are. I wonder how they’ll find a way to lose next week??? I’m going to guess an Eddie Piñero game winning FG attempt is blocked and returned for a TD game over panthers lose!
  17. He will be the QB next season for sure. But they do need to redo the backup position(s). I’m off the “draft a QB in the first round” train but getting a competent veteran backup who isn’t 37 years old is a MUST.
  18. The Panthers are miserable therefore this place is miserable. Worst winning/loss record in all 4 major professional sports leagues in the last 5+ years.
  19. oh believe me I did! I only watched tiny pieces of this game because I was putting young children to bed but I did see most of overtime and wow what a Panthers end to that garbage ass game, on both sides! Just stating what everyone already knows, the Panthers have and always will be dogsh*t
  20. I’m torn because he’s a rookie head coach. Ron Rivera once called a timeout with the clock expiring at the half so the Saints could kick a field goal. So if he’s pulling the crap he pulled today in year 2 or 3 I’d agree with you. The fact he has started to make Bryce Young not look like a junior high QB is a miracle in and of itself
  21. It didn’t matter at this point. The Panthers are losers no matter what. To the core this team is garbage. It took multiple HOF level players over the course of two decades to elevate this team beyond being a toilet bowl franchise and they still couldn’t have two consecutive winning seasons let alone a championship. Now the team is full of limp ass losers and they have the worst record in all major 4 professional sports leagues in the last 5 years. I don’t think chewing out a referee in that single instance would have done a single thing to combat the compounded pile of sh*t this franchise has become.
  22. I mean sure, it’s reassuring this team isn’t total ass and isn’t getting blown out every game. But now we’ve gotten back the “find EVERY possible excruciating way to lose” team and that’s also not a fun team to root for either. Are we ever going to see a winning team again? I genuinely believe the team is cursed. We’ve all seen it so many times that I don’t think it’s just crazy nonsense anymore. Even when this team is “good” they have found ways to rip your heart out. I guess that’s just what being a sports fan is all about but the Panthers are uniquely adept at losing when they’ve exhausted all possible ways to win.
