  1. Toronto keeps it up in the second, and have an 18 pt lead with 4 mins to go in the first half. still shooting 62% from the floor and now same for 3. However, Bouknight has played 10 minutes and has 13 points. and we are 25% from 3....our shooting slump continues
  2. also Bouknight has minutes in the first quarter. Now, missing 3 players, he'll probably see more.
  3. second Hornet player ejected in as many games. Raptors shooting 64% from the floor and 70% from 3...lol. They lead 39-27 while holding for the last shot of the quarter
  4. https://www.atthehive.com/2022/1/25/22900365/preview-charlotte-hornets-will-try-to-make-some-shots-against-the-raptors?utm_campaign=atthehive&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter The Hornets are coming off the worst 3-point shooting performance in team history. I thought it was going to be one of the worst in NBA history, but boy howdy are there some bad shooting nights throughout the annals of recent history. The Nuggets had a game in 2012 where they attempted 22 3-point attempts and made exactly zero. The Rockets had a game last season where they took 45 3-point attempts to match the Hornets four makes. The Celtics had a 4-for-42 3-point shooting performance a few weeks ago, and that’s only one of two 3-point shooting performances that the Celtics have had this season that were worse that what the Hornets put out there Sunday night. The Hornets will try to bounce back against a good but not great Raptors team that’s been all over the place this season. The Raptors play at one of the slowest paces in the league and they don’t turn the ball over much, which limits the Hornets transition opportunities. However, they don’t shoot well, so the Hornets will want to try to push off rebounds as much as possible to get into their transition offense. The Raptors play an iso-heavy style of basketball and don’t shoot the ball well on spot-ups, so the Hornets should be able to contain their offense if they do an okay job staying in front of ball handlers. more at the link
  5. Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · Jan 24 INJURY REPORT: @hornets at TOR 1/25 Hayward (R Foot Discomfort) is questionable McDaniels (L Ankle Sprain) is out Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · 14m INJURY UPDATE: @hornets forward Gordon Hayward has been downgraded to OUT tonight in Toronto
  6. Saints have no head coach, no quarterback, and they are 74 million over the cap. they'll get under this year, but almost all the fat was trimmed last year when they were 40 or 50 mill over. They'll have to push all they can into the future, which had to happen eventually. Bad day to be a Saints fan. but for us...
  7. every team has a night like that, glad we got it our of our system. Might have helped if Melo had stopped trying to shoot himself out of a slump.
  8. the most incredible weekend in football in history. stuff you tell your children about
  9. and Kelly is out with a flagrant 2. It was a tough foul but I don't believe there was any intent, and Miles coming in behind and hitting the guy made it look worse, but there is no malice in this game...just unfortunate
  10. turns out we just had the bad end of the court to start. Now we're going the other way and starting to hit some shots. Long way to go, but we're moving that way
  11. 7 dunks in the first half, Hornets average 5.7 per game. so that's good. Hornets are 0-17 from 3. down by 11 at the half
  12. and Miles gets the first HOW DO YOU DO of the game after a great pass from Terry
  13. Mason finally figured out his offensive game...dunk behind the head. If he sees where he's shooting he'll miss. Works for me.
  14. sucks this game is on tonight against NFL football and not tomorrow night. I'll flip back and forth during commercials
  15. Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · 3m Cody Martin will make his seventh start of the season at small forward for the @hornets tonight vs. ATL. He is averaging 13.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 3.7 apg and 1.2 spg in six starts this season.
  16. both Kelly and Thor might be seeing more minutes. Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · 27s . @hornets forward Gordon Hayward has been downgraded to OUT for tonight’s game Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · Jan 22 INJURY UPDATE: @hornets vs ATL 1/23 Jalen McDaniels (L Ankle Sprain) is out
  17. One of the best throws of the year. It's amazing watching these players and knowing how far off we from these teams.
  18. Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · 4h INJURY UPDATE: @hornets vs ATL 1/23 Jalen McDaniels (L Ankle Sprain) is out hopefully it won't be long till he gets back..he's improved so much and is really contributing.
  19. actually, this morning we are 3.5 games out of FIRST!!!! and we already played the toughest schedule in the league in the first half of the season. If we stay healthy.....man...
  20. it's a thought...if he keeps improving like Miles....wow. Biggest takeaway is how Borrego has this team together....bench was going crazy for the young guys, especially Bouknight. They know he's good, and he's on a team with vet depth in front of him. Everything looks good after a blowout win, but we had some key players who didn't win this game for us tonight. We won as a team. Give a lot of credit for that to Kup and Borrego, and maybe we should have more summer cookouts together at coach's house. We won't win the championship this year, but I'm enjoying this ride. A lot.
  21. lol at this lineup for the last 1:30 we have 2 centers, 2 power forwards and Bouk on the floor
