DJ Moore graded out as the 24th best WR according to PFF
top dawg replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
Adams is arguably the best receiver in the NFL currently. Until Moore can run routes like Adams, he won't reach Adams' level. That ain't got poo to do with the QB. Furthermore, like it or not, Moore plays with a better set of receivers! Sure, Teddy missed a wide open Moore on an occasion or two, but it was Anderson that benefitted the least from Teddy's obviously lacking skill set. Teddy missed Robby on several occasions because he didn't time his throw correctly, including near the end zone (I remember Romo pointing it out). This is not to say that Moore isn't our most valuable receiver (which is also arguable), but his route running still needs improvement! I'd like his hands (and Curt's) to be better, but no one is perfect! But Adams is pretty damned good (when he is on the field)! -

Not really. All prospects don't have the same skill set, and there aren't 10 busts every year. Some QB classes are just better than others. You really seem to be going out of your way are to talk down about Lance. I remember people talking down about Herbert and Allen too, but you seem really invested in dogging Lance. -

I told them the other day: don't confuse didn't throw to can't throw. That's not what I've seen of Lance. I think that he can make all the throws and that it's just a matter of being coached up and learning from experience! I think any kid can bust given the wrong circumstances, but I believe Lance has the mindset, arm and mobility to be something special. -

Why? No one here (that we know of) has any say-so anyway! We're just slinging around opinions based on very limited knowledge as it pertains to drafting or the business dealings of the FO. -

Why would any professional worth their salt do that? It's not really very analytical to exclude a game, or overblow it when juxtaposed against an entire season. I mean, you want to put it into context like any game. But I seriously doubt that scouts are going to exclude a game to play favorites. -

I like Wilson, and, perhaps contrary to popular belief, I see why people would choose him over Lance or Fields (I said as much in a post after first seeing him). The one-year-wonder thing doesn't bother me nearly as much as his injury history. But, as long as his shoulder gets a 100 percent clean bill of health from doctors across the league, I won't think anything more about it. -

Fields has the production for sure. He should though, coming from the superior program with markedly better talent. I don't think that he can necessarily throw better; honestly, that remains to be seen. I also believe that Lance might be physically stronger than Fields and is more nifty and improvisational with his legs. -

Can't wait for the more in-depth look, Verge! Wilson, Lance or Fields will be exciting prospects! Wilson is somewhat of an enigma that came out of nowhere, but he obviously can play ball. I just hope he lives up to his considerable hype, especially for a team that will expect him to compete day one! -

Verge already told you why Lance will be coveted; Lance has tools and a skill set that can be molded and refined into anything you want. -
A masterpiece! I'm sure it applies to multiple people in this thread!

This sh¡t is crazy!

Though there is a lot of misinformation regarding taking Ibuprofen with coronavirus, experts really don't yet know if there are any I'll effects from the medication. Just to be safe, you might want to stick with acetaminophen for now.

They aren't counting or testing those bodies from what I've read. Our cases are skyrocketing. You can deny or rationalize all you like. We're handling things the stupid way, and lives, including health professionals', are being needlessly lost because of it. And if some idiots in high places have their way, it will be much much worse than it had to be!
-
I have no problem with testing, but we should've been aggressively preparing months ago and aggressively testing weeks ago probably in January. The urgency and importance of this threat should never have been downplayed by anyone, much less the POTUS. And the fact is, there were a few people sounding the alarm! And after all that, now you have even more fools like the LT Gov. of Texas promoting Trumpian foolishness, which will inevitably compound our serious problem, and who knows where that will lead?
-
Anyone, including our dumb President, suggesting that we don't deal with coronavirus aggressively is a fool! Simply a fool! This is the most current curve data! As you can see, our cases are skyrocketing!
-
Nope! That's not what the evidence from South Korea and China suggests. Italy has taken the foolish route---like us---and that's where our curve is headed! You want social upheaval & societal instability, go the dumb route!
-
I was going to reply with something similar. Trump dismantled the NSC's Pandemic unit that Obama put in place out of spite and foolishness. No way I believe that another POTUS wouldn't have done at least a marginally better job. At least! And before someone says something dumb, I am unaffiliated as well. I do consider myself a staunch adherent of Progressivism. You don't dismantle global health infrastructure and expect humanity to progress. Many people in the know expected this very thing could happen!
-
This is really assigning a lot of blame to our current administration--mirroring Trumps on words throughout this process--but it's hard to argue with. And, it shows how partisan politics is really not the game you want to be playing, when real leadership is required. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/03/how-many-americans-are-sick-lost-february/608521/

I just saw a story that said some Italian officials think that the official death toll is inaccurate because they believe some older people are dying at home or hospice care of coronavirus. They're not being tested, so we'll never know.

Not quite true, that's why health care providers need masks. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/03/19/health/hospital-coronavirus-shortages-preparedness/index.html If healthcare workers don't get more masks, the day is going to come when the economy is the least of our problems!

From today's update from USA Today: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's worst-case-scenario is that up to 210 million Americans will be infected by December. Under this forecast, 21 million people would need hospitalization and 200,000 to 1.7 million could die. Collins said that if the U.S. takes drastic measures "we should certainly be able to blunt" the U.S. curve. "But let's be clear: There's going to be a very rough road." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2020/03/19/coronavirus-updates-us-china-nyc-cases-testing-unemployment-cdc/2866751001/ We need to take this threat seriously, folks!

Just a little more food for thought. Here is something that was recently said by Rivera that I believe further demonstrates who the locks are. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/05/25/ron-rivera-on-cam-newton-comments-im-not-putting-anybody-on-blast/ Now, knowing how Rivera does things (and kinda makes up his mind), I think it will take something drastic to fall out of favor. Regardless of that, it's a little difficult to actually substitute for chemistry between a QB and receiver. You want to keep Cam happy and comfortable.

Both Ginn and Funchess were very productive considering the amount of time they were on the field. PFF's wide receiver efficiency rating will tell you the same thing. Not so much for Philly. It's just too early to say who will make the cut with any surety. We have two absolute locks, and everyone knows who they are.
