The break up with the Texans was not about the money, no matter how much you want it to be. Moreover, the whole conversation began by me asking you why you thought Johnson would get a contract over 10 million per year. Well...Anyway, you act like Johnson is supposed to work for peanuts. He got a decent contract for what he brings to the table in fitting with his age and experience, which is what I suggested that he would get from the very beginning. Plus, most importantly to him, he is playing for a contender.

Only a sick mind would think that up. LOL

Actually, I did toO (probably like most of us). This is even more of a reason not to believe the hype regarding anyone not named Kelvin Benjamin. There is going to be some competition, and the Huddle may not like who is going to be cut, because someone is going to be cut.

Rumor: Panthers, Titans, and Eagles Contact Michael Crabtree
top dawg replied to rscott94's topic in Carolina Panthers
And Crabtree is a receiver with an injury issue that hasn't lived up to his billing. So, there you go. I don't see ringing endorsements about either one, but I'll take the faster, more explosive guy with the upside, especially in our offense. -

I am sorry, but it bespeaks of a lack of credibility to say that Johnson, Nicks, Crabtree, Bowe, Moore, or even Mike Williams don't have talent. They all have issues, but lacking talent is not one of them. -

Moore lacks talent? You're off your rocker. Did you even care to watch Moore carve Sherman and company in the preseason last year? Obviously not. -

Kelly didn't hate Maclin. He wanted Maclin, just at a cheaper price. Plus, Crabtree fits the non-leader, laid back type that Kelly seems to covet. -
I didn't say it did. i appreciate Voth for what he does. I appreciate all the writers and bloggers that cover Panthers football (except for maybe Gantt, who is still taking shots). I think that they all do a decent job at what they do. Unlike some of the ignorant that speak around here, I realize that they have other things to do than carry their phones and wait for the next tip or twitter update. I just believe in keeping what all of them say in perspective, and realize that they are ultimately guessing like everyone else, until they are told otherwise.

I don't know that you directed towards anyone in particular. Only you could answer that. But, other people take your words and ascribe them to Growl or PanthersUnited (who seems like a little less knowledgeable, I will admit, but still provides some interesting questions), for example, and run with it. Neither of these guys has spoken to jumping off of a cliff. Neither is a troll either.

That's great. I think that many of us had low expectations. That's the way to be with G-man at the helm. I just don't think that we should burn someone at the stake for expecting a little more. It seems like some people get their jollies from sinking their teeth in the first thing that they can someone says like a pit bull, shake it up in their teeth for a bit to disorient their ignorant cheerleaders, and spit it on the ground in order to meet their lame ass narrative that speaks to some perceived overreaction by people who are just trying to have a sensible conversation.
-
No one here has said that they wanted to jump off of a cliff or anything of the sort. If ANY Huddler or anyone else on God's green earth, save for some within the FO told me that they would have thought that Boykin would be the talk of free agency in Panthers Land today when all of this first started, they're telling a damned lie.
-
Whatever. Give most people here an inside tip about who is coming to visit, or what's going to happen in the future, and I guess they'll look like Panther Einsteins, too. People will praise them on bended knee because they tweet something a bit faster than everyone else. I'm tired of that attitude. But I'm even more tired of people taking people's words out of context and trying to make some big thing out of it, when it's really not. And I am going to speak to it this day.
-
I will answer that for him. Of course he does. If anyone would actually read what someone says and actually read with understanding, as opposed to reacting with hyperbole, then they would know this. I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but I am tired of all the back and forth about perceived overreactions and taking what people say out of context in order to get a hip hip hooray from the Huddle amen choir.

Eagles expected to sign Mathews

LI understand both sides. I am willing to give G-man the benefit of the doubt for another year because team building in your own image (so to speak) takes time, but stop using last year's sneaking into the back door of the postseason as a showcase for all that's going right. Geez! Teams have to pay their stars, that's just a given. I am not going to accept that as an excuse. This is Dave's third off season, so it's largely time to start shitting or getting off the pot. People can fool themselves all they like about our sub par receiving corps. We are in but a little better position than we were last year because of KB, but other than KB who still has a lot of rawness to his game, we are what people thought we were last year: in need. That being said, free agency isn't over. Dave had better find a way to add some experienced talent to our corps that's actually effective. I would imagine that our YAC has to be on the bottom side of the league and going nowhere. You can't use the lack of funds as an excuse at this point because the big ticket items will soon be officially gone. The market that we are in has largely shifted to the mid to lower tier receivers who have questions, but can still help a team such as ours on the cheap. It's OK to go to Target and start in the clearance section, because you never know what you'll be able to find, but you're already in a discount store so you had better find what you had originally gone in there to look for.

Rotoworld: The Packers have opted not to tender restricted free agent WR Jarrett Boykin a contract, making him a free agent. Buried on the depth chart in Green Bay, the move is likely best for Boykin's future. Boykin played just 122 snaps on offense last season, and was going to be no better than the Pack's No. 4 receiver in 2015. A slow-footed possession receiver, Boykin's phone won't be ringing off the hook the first week of free agency, but still only 25, he'll eventually get calls. Source: Tom Silverstein on Twitter Mar 10 - 4:53 PM This has to be a depth signing. It's just G-man staying ahead of the curve (just like with Oher) just in case things in the market go south for us. Everyone calm down. Every receiver not named Kelvin Benjamin can freak the fug out if they want to, but Gettleman is 'bout dat competition, boss.
-
Damn. No wonder he got his ass sat down early last season. Three drops on 12 passes. That's horrible.
-
Gettleman ain't worried. He's got this! He's probably on a cruise right now. He'll be back in time for the draft.

No one is going to ban you for pointing out inconsistency and hypocrisy. The record speaks for itself.
