Now this is a fair assessment. I hate when folk just say Bryce sucks, he's not athletic, he has a weak arm - with nothing other than their opinion to justify it. Even though he's a very good running QB, overthrows WRs and has passes bounce off WRs hands and facemasks all the time. That doesn't scream weak arm talent. Now deep outs are another story. It's concerning and I've noticed it too. I've also noticed that we don't run alot of those routes so it's difficult to tell if it's scheme or QB. Don't remember a true 15yard out even with Dalton out there so there's a possibility for both. Those deep outs also require a WR that can get out of their break without a bunch of steps to collect themselves (and not fade away from the ball). Honestly, don't think that guy is on the roster. Maybe Marsette? But agree, I'd love to see Bryce dig in and fire a deep out. Just to put the defense on notice. I think him trying deep passes is promising and hopefully he starts hitting them. But those misses aren't an arm strength problem. They're more a timing issue. That deep out is very telling. Big boy throw.

agree with all. Chinn is playing out of position. he needs to put on 10-15 pounds and move up to the LB position. I could definitely see him playing more in a Luvu role rather than asking him to cover slots and TEs every play. Those two and a real thumper in the middle would be my wish for the defense. Team could scheme around the lack of a true Edge rusher with that combo. Would rather have a true edge setter at DE.

So what's your point big dog? Does he or does he not catch the friggin ball and basically/literally fall down? It happens a lot. Why? Because he gets the most targets. I didn't say he was the problem for the offense. I said he needs to be able to create some kind of YAC. And if he's the best we have, as you're seemingly implying, then that's a big reason why this offense is so bad.

He gets the most targets. He gets the most catches. He gets the most plays dialed up to get him the ball in the passing game. He's not making big plays with all those opportunities. Why can't he be held accountable like everyone else? Not expecting him to run away from 22 years old CBs. Just don't fall down when he catches the ball.

LG, so you're saying I shouldn't expect a wide receiver to run with the ball after he catches it? The situation doesn't matter. Catch the ball then try to score with it.

I'm not making excuses for Bryce. I'm just saying the #1 receiver on the team needs to stop catching the ball and falling down. Plenty of opportunities for YAC but it ain't happening.

Bryce did himself no friggin favors today. He didn't look good passing, but that mofo is elusive when he runs. Again put a top LB in the NFL in the matrix. And if Theilen don't stop diving and falling for passes that hit him in the hands... jeez be a receiver!

I agree. He doesn't have an average NFL receiving Corp. The o line is starting to come around though. Much better than the first 10 games.

Come on. He CAN make the throws. He just isn't. No excuse on a few of them. Gotta give your receiver a chance to make a play. I think his confidence is shot. He needs a restart to get out of his head. And honestly these receivers are really, really bad.

Chase makes a play on a few of those deep balls. Not all. But a few.
