  1. Glad you had a great get away. Getting a good room is paramount, it just sets the mood off to a good start. Having someone to share it with, and the anticipation of the MNF game, I'm sure... Um, how bout those Panthers?
  2. Makes you wonder what DWill has to do to be better than just OK? I guess if 3rd in the league in rushing, almost 5 yards per carry, and almost 100 yards a game is just OK. What does the guy have to do? Also, it is nice seeing Shula trying to adjust his Offense so far. 1st game he was too conservative, with reason. 2nd game he went a little overboard. 3rd game he dialed it in rather nicely. Not bad for a guy who was supposed to be bad at the whole making adjustments part of the game. As long as Shula can continue to call a good game. DWill is going to get his. I can live with that.
  3. Williams is not the "Only" option between the 20s. Cam is doing most of his damage in that area of the field. Tolbert has gotten carries as well. Not sure what you were trying to say here, but it is a false statement. Our ground attack is 2nd in the league. How is that only OK? This is just silly. When we get healthy? You will just complain that we won't be getting value from our backs. You have some very strange views my friend. But hey, to each their own. Hey, at least you are getting responses. Keep trying to downplay DWill. Nobody seems to agree with you, but hellz, don't let that stop you from trying.
  4. So...DWill is averaging almost 5 yards per carry, and 100 yards a game. But that is only OK? I sure wish he would pick it up, cuz this is ridiculous type production. Maybe when the rookie and Stewy, and his surgically repaired ankles, get back, the production will improve to better than OK. Barner is a rookie. Chances are he will get a few touches. Surely that will take DWill out of the game. Um...no Or Stewy coming back will just jump right in. No need to ease him back, cuz, well, you know, he is Stewy and all. DWill has proven, once again, that when he gets his touches he can be effective. Sure Barner will get some touches, Stewy too. But as long as DWill stays effective, he will get his touches. It is just smart football. Our coaching staff may be learning on the fly. But they are smart enough to keep feeding an effective player. CRA...dude. Please quit using your thoughts as facts. Just because you think it should be, does not make it a "Matter of fact". The only argument you have is the money. And you are the only one hung up on that at this point.
  5. I sure wish you folks that claim DWill goes down on first contact would get a clue. If you don't tackle him, he keeps going. He had one run against Buffalo, and two against the Giants that if not for a saving tackle could have been home runs. Both the runs against the Giants he was hit multiple times and still almost broke it. One run was up the middle, one on a pitch from Cam. So he can still break it from anywhere. If you do not wrap him up, he is still dangerous. The powers that be want us to have a semblance of balance. So far, DWill has allowed them to achieve that. I can live with that.
  6. how much pie do I have?

  7. Exactly. His performance this year goes a long way in determining his future. Both as a Panther, and as far as compensation is concerned. My main hope is a healthy Beast and an extension in the offseason. Allowing us to keep him, and lower that massive cap hit. We are better with him. But... With Keek and TD. Do we really need an expensive 3rd LB. Or can we get by with our rookie (Forgot his name) going into his second year? I can see us using that money to upgrade other positions. But I can also see us keeping Beast. Glad I ain't making this decision.
  8. See that's the gist of it. He hasn't played in almost 2 years. He has gotten paid well for it. If he were so inclined, he could offer to restructure, take a pay cut, or even an extension. Restructures don't help in the long run. He probably won't take a pay cut. So it pretty much leaves an extension. If he is healthy, an extension could solve a lot of problems. Then again, Gettlemen may want to jettison that cap hit next year anyway. Too many options at this point to give a definitive answer to the Beast question. I totally believe we are a better team with Beast than without him. I hope this works out for the best. But I am not too comfortable with it at all.
  9. As much as we all want to think the best of players. It really does come down to money for a lot of them. Is Beast one of those types? We will have to wait to find out. Cuz if it is all about money, and not championships like he says, he may not be around much longer. We all know his contract is an albatross and if we know it, he knows it. Is he willing to help? That is the question.
  10. I agree that Beast makes our Core better. My thinking is, if he stays healthy and has a good to great year. We will extend him. Which could lower that massive cap hit quite a bit. Because if we can't do something with his contract, we may not be able to keep him past this year. With Keek and TD, we can get by with a less dominant player. It has to be cost effective or Gettlemen may decide to make a change.
