  1. Schefter is saying the Texans and Browns are still talking. Have not agreed on compensation. That was 1 hour ago. Rapsheet said Watson plans to waive his NTC and trade talks/compensation is not final. That was 2 hours ago. Anything new?
  2. Holding up with what? I'm happy with Moore as a 2, Robby as a 3/deep threat, Zylstra as a 4/3rd down receiver. Need a 1/playmaker with great hands that will scare a defense for the passing game to go anywhere.
  3. Can anyone find a Browns player that has congratulated Watson for being their new franchise QB?
  4. Is he officially a Brown or did he just post an image of him in a Browns uniform with an unnamed source who leaked generic numbers? When he is on a plane to the Browns to do media like Amari Cooper did when he was officially a Brown, then we can call it official. Until then it is an Instagram post to feed the media dogs. As of right now, his contract is still held by the Texans. Waiting for the Texans to agree to the Browns terms.
  5. You've been telling me it's over for the past 3 days for 3 different reasons because of crap that you ran with. The sources going around and people are lobbing up because it just came out minutes ago keep saying it is not final. Yet you all keep saying it is over because your sources say things still need to be finalized and executed. Or an instagram post. Not final does not mean final. I want the Panthers taking the offer off the table. Stating they are no longer pursuing Watson. I want the Browns or Texans to announce something. You all are getting strung around by the Watson camp just like the media. Do not send me a source that does not state their source or uses words in their report of not finalized and still needs to be executed... or reportedly Watson is a Brown. I want some ink on at least an agreement and someone to step out from the shadows to put their name on these reports.
  6. I've read all those stories about sources and the trade not being final. Everyone but the Texans and Browns. The reports are that the Texans and Browns still must execute the trade. Not hearing anything from the Texans or the Browns. This is all coming from Watson?
  7. So you don't have anything to confirm? Please move away from me.
  8. Has a Browns source confirmed this? I just want to know it is done.
  9. Reading around. Where does it say it's official? I see a lot of "reportedly" and "sources" Nothing from the Browns side. Not even on their website saying they've agreed.
  10. I really hope so. Get Watson out of here. No clue why he would waive his NTC for the Browns with everything he wanted.
  11. Watson is not going to the Browns with the Panthers and Saints offer still on the table. This is hardball by the Texans to the Watson camp. I could see the Texans possibly wanting Mayfield as compensation and their starter though. I just don't see Watson ever waiving his NTC to go to the Browns since it is further away from family. Texans should have never allowed Watson to talk to the Falcons last minute.
  12. Thank you. Patience everyone. Just have fun with it. Tweets don't sign a contract. This is the Texans and Watson taking shots at each other and damaging other franchises in their wake lol. Now can someone please confirm for me that the Panthers have taken their deal and moved on. I don't want Watson.
  13. It's called speculation. Have fun with it or move on Mr. I Have the Facts check my tweet references.
  14. This. And why it is not over until there is a trade or movement. Not just NTC garbage or telling a team they are out. Could make a complete change again. This tells you that there is a war going on between Watson and Texans. We know Watson wants to be near family and Mom. The two closest locations are Panthers and Falcons. We know Watson would prefer the Falcons. They have history and he is deep in the ATL community. We know the Texans want the best compensation for Watson and do not want Matt Ryan traded to their division rivals. We know the Texans need to unload Watson before they can really dive into free agency. Watson is trying to force the Texans to send him to the Falcons. The Texans only want the Falcons as leverage. The Panthers give the Texans the best compensation with no fall out of Matt Ryan going to their division rival, and is the second closest destination for Watson to his home. Watson pulled that stunt of the NTC after the Texans went home last night. So, now you get the Texans move. They have now threatened Watson to block the Falcons and ship him further away from home. Leverage. Texans are communicating to Watson that if he doesn't want to play ball, they have the power and can decide where he goes. Panthers are not off the table. Texans want the Panthers compensation regardless of what Watson thinks he can do. Browns are just another play in this insane conflict the Texans and Watson have going. I still don't want Watson and think it would be a huge mistake. I wish the Panthers would announce they are no longer seeking Watson and will not trade with the Texans.
  15. There's a long list of franchise/HoF QBs you would have laughed at over the years as possible trades. Would you have laughed at trading for Mark Brunnell, Kurt Warner, Warren Moon, Jake Delhomme, Tony Romo, Steve Bono, Matt Hasselbeck, Steve Beuerlein, Tom Brady, Jeff Garcia, Brad Johnson, Kirk Cousins, or RIch Gannon? My guess is you would have laughed them all off. Someone has to give them their opportunity before everyone realizes their value and wishes they traded for them. The ones that laugh always miss out on these QBs. Have you even seen Rypien and Buechele? Buechele's being protected by Reid and moving up as Mahome's back-up for a reason. Rypien is quietly sitting on the Broncos roster being protected by Elway. Broncos moved Drew Lock as the backup because of Rypien who they tendered as an RFA. My top 2 trade targets have already been taken. Those are who remain, and I trust them to lead a team before a QB like Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, or Sam Darnold. If you keep laughing off these type of QBs, then you laugh off the type of QBs that lead NFL dynasties. It's not a majority of 1st round QBs who are leading teams to NFL dynasties.
  16. I don't think it mattered. Tepper looked foolish when Watson turned him down a year ago and then going after Darnold. Then when Darnold fell on his face Tepper went back after Watson. The only way to save face for Tepper was to get Watson and not turn over a kings ransom to the Texans. Watson is going to hold back whatever team gets him in multiple ways, and his career will be much shorter than many think.
  17. Can the Panthers announce they are removing their offer to the Texans? Then go get Armstead while the Saints wait for the Texans and Watson to work out their troubles.
  18. Watson's camp announced it after the Texans closed up and went home for the day. I'm sure the Texans are not happy about him strong arming them and lowering their leverage to get more out of the Falcons. We'll see how the Texans-Watson struggle plays out today. It wouldn't surprise me if Watson's gamble backfires too and the entire thing falls apart with Matt Ryan staying in Atlanta. Texans opened up the Falcons for Watson to talk with in an effort to get the most compensation from the Panthers, Saints or Falcons. They didn't want the Panthers out. I hope it blows up in the Texans face and Ryan goes to the Colts or Titans while they get less in compensation from the Falcons since they have less leverage on them now. And yes, we are still waiting for a sign/report that the Panthers are removing their offer from the Texans and moving in a new direction (which I hope they do today). It would be really funny if Watson uses his NTC leverage to force his way to the Falcons and the Texans upset with Watson giving leverage to the Falcons refuse to trade with the Falcons forcing him to the Saints. Eventually, the Texans have to get tired of his antics. Texans have much less leverage now because of Watson, but they are the ones who got greedy and let him talk to the Falcons last minute.
  19. Trade: Nick Foles, Brett Rypien, Shane Buechele Free Agent: Cam Newton, Joe Flacco Draft: Aqeel Glass, Jack Coan, Desmond Ridder Those are the only QBs I see capable of leading a team to a championship. Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz were also on my list as trade targets above Foles. You could get 3 of them on the roster and have them compete. It would be like the season the Packers loaded up on QBs Brett Favre, Ty Detmer, Mark Brunnell, and Kurt Warner. Packers traded for a 2nd round QB in Brett Favre, drafted Ty Detmer in the 9th round, drafted Mark Brunell in the 5th round, and signed an undrafted free agent in Kurt Warner. It is possible to find multiple hall of fame QBs and franchise QBs if you don't get blinded by 1st round QB hype and combine measurables.
  20. We'll see. No deal is done, and this can all fall apart on the Falcons. Watson's camp is strong arming the Texans to deal exclusively with the Falcons. Effectively lowering what the Falcons would have to pay up with the Panthers out. Looks like the Texans opening that last minute door to let Watson talk to the Falcons blew up in their face. I would not be surprised to see some fighting between the Texans and Watson after this move. Watson went all in on the Falcons being able to trade Ryan. Let's see the Panthers move on to other QB options and free agent signing. That will tell me their offer is off the table. I want to see the Texans announce a Falcons trade or the Panthers pull their offer off the table (at least lower it). It's Tepper, so I doubt he stops at Watson not being open to a trade. Keep in mind that I do not want Watson.
  21. I hope they don't get back in the race. I'll be happy when Watson is traded. Until then there is the chance Tepper does something dumb. Watson would have been a disappointment. Rather face him than Matt Ryan or any other playoff worthy QB. Now, here's hoping the Panthers dodge another bullet by not wasting their 1st round pick on the overhyped 2022 QB prospects.
  22. Watson does not get to decide though. He will waive his NTC for the Falcons and Panthers. He is not sold on the Saints who have to keep trying to convince him he is close enough to home/family. This is the Texans decision. They were not even offering Watson the Falcons until they needed to leverage the Panthers hold on Watson. We all know Watson wants to be as close to home as possible and has a long relationship with the Falcons. Texans don't want Ryan in the AFC South. Falcons have to trade Ryan for the picks/players necessary to package with what they have in order to beat the Panthers offer. Falcons aren't going to get what they need from a Ryan trade imo. Dolphins and Browns are the only 2 teams I see in the AFC that the Falcons and Texans would agree on trading Ryan to for the picks the Texans want. Not going to happen. If the Panthers want Watson, CMC, Chinn, Burns, and Horn on the roster together, they have to wait. I believe the Texans would have already made the trade if the Panthers offered up 3 first rounders plus CMC and Burns.
  23. Saints have been a pawn from the start. Watson is set on being close to home and wouldn't waive his NTC for them. That is why they wanted another meeting with Watson. Trying to convince him that he won't be away from family with the expectations of an NFL team on their QB.
  24. And this is exactly what Tepper is good at... how he made his billions. It's like watching corporate raiding in the NFL without all the litigation.
  25. Matt Ryan agreed to putting off his money? Does Matt Ryan know about this? Is this like how the Falcons told Ryan about their intent to go after Watson when they actually didn't? Is this even legal without Matt Ryan signing off? Something is not right about this. Call the bluff. We'll see come the end of day tomorrow. Just let it play out and watch the Texans and Falcons keep squirming through the weekend while they can't do anything big in free agency.
