DW is better than pre injury Cam besides maybe 2015. And everyone here knows im a cam homer. I think it’s worth it to try. And on top of that this is a decade plus move. So we will be able to do thing after the next two years with picks. Priority #1 should be protection from the get go tho and we can do that by renegotiating his contract and getting some FA’s in here on the line.

He is. But it will be worth it imo. Ygm is gonna have to step up. And they’re gonna have to find gems in mid round picks.

Burns is still young. People forget he just played his 3rd season. That’s the only trade asset that will hurt imo. He still has room to grow.

Matt rhule is replaceable. Top 5 Franchise qbs are not. we’ll see if this actually happens and what the deal contains. Remember that this is essentially 2 first round picks because the #6 pick this year is us basically taking a top 5 qb. What we give up in players will be interesting. we can also renegotiate his contract to make some moves this year in FA. from the Texans forum Bargain for whatever team he lands on compared to the more recent QB contracts ..... the Texans having paid ~$50m in up front money and taken the cap hit .... They better get a kings ransom in picks.

Younger known players on rookie contracts are more valuable than first round picks. Because it’s a known quantity vs unknown.

Chinn’s positional value just isn’t there and I have his jersey. Burns is the one that will hurt the most imo. Id like to keep horn if this trade goes down.

Sources say it’s because he wanted Miami so there was not point. Miami is out and sources are saying he’d be willing to come here. That doesn’t mean we are his first choice. I think it’s likely that the Texans want him to take our offer because it’s apparently the best. I don’t think this is anywhere close to a done deal but I think it’s naive to think we have a zero shot in this situation.

I dunno man. I think the panthers have a legit shot at this. Also people were commenting that the Bucs have an almost zero feasible way of acquiring him with their cap issues. Like it would be basically deshaun and udfa’s if they were to do this which obviously wouldn’t be appealing to deshaun. I think the browns are the wildcard here. Reports that they’re looking into it. They have everything deshaun is supposedly looking for. Good coach, great line, good defense.

We have first round picks and future 2nds. We also have good young players on rookie contracts. I have no idea if this is gonna happen but we definitely have the ammo.

Not only younger but better. RW is elite but DW is godtier. He’s up there with Allen and Mahomes.

Tepper, Tell deshaun you’ll fire rhule and you both can pick the next coach together. Win/win.

A couple of things about us vs seattle seattles division is much tougher with rams, 9ers and cardinals. vs us with zero legitimate franchise qbs (Matt Ryan sucks) seattle has more draft capital we have more young talented players on rookie contracts to offer if you’re a GM draft picks are nice but known players are better. Draft is a crapshoot. Seattle has a better org/coaching staff but that could change and Tepper could potentially offer DW say in the next staff like he was asking in Houston. if each org gets to meet with DW then they’re gonna have to pitch why they are the best spot for him.

Draft picks aren’t better than known players on rookie deals. I don’t even know who Seattle has. We have several. The only thing that would stop this is if deshaun prefers Seattle because of his no trade clause.

Yeah I really don’t care either way tbh. Just the people who are trying to guilt trip others for being ok with it. Top Dawg mentioned what I said months ago in another Watson thread that doesn’t need to be rehashed by me. It’s just entertainment. This isn’t real life high stakes poo. He’ll definitely be a big part in helping this org win games and that’s what this is about.
