Wow. That's sad. I wonder if the guy got death threats or something after his video kinda blew up. Some fans are plain nutjobs. Or maybe Ked is just...off. Who knows?Â
Âprobably both. There was definitely no registering with him that no one was going to hurt or abandon him. He was all over the place in the conversations. Which is why I said that drive might have killed my buddy. 4 hours of that and youâre bashing your head on the steering wheel.Â
Âwould have been hilarious to have him perform. #MissedOpportunitiesÂ

I did some digging and was able to get his number. Called him and asked him to come perform at the tailgate. I offered him transportation to CLT (he was outside of Greenville, NC), a hotel room, and couple hundred dollars (like 200-300, canât remember exactly). He wouldnt fly and there was no train to get him here on time, so my buddy coming to the game from Greenville said he would pick him up (bless his heart - not sure he would have survived that ride). There was a train that would take him back. Ked agreed, but the a few hours later was totally convinced that once he got to Charlotte something bad was going to happen to him like he would be abandoned at the hotel, alone, and not know what to do or ever be able to get home. So after several collective hours over the course of 2-3 days of trying to assure him he wasnât going to be harmed, I just said fug it this too insane. He was dead set that I was going to bring him to Charlotte to hurt him. Lol, what?Â

Much respect for you man. The fanbase and the team itself is lucky to have someone like @RoaringRiot who will give so much of their life in support of the Panthers.Â
KEEP POUNDING!!!!
I appreciate that, but itâs not about me/us. The entire fanbase needs and deserves to feel good again. Itâs been awhile. Weâre just trying to give them something fun to do to kickoff the season. Not to sound corny, but weâre really hoping it become and annual community rally for the team to start the season.Â

Have I ever shared the story of trying to get him to our tailgate for the NFCC game in 2015? He is aâŚ..interestingâŚ.cat

Hey Huddle - just popping by to tell you about a festival that we're launching this season, it's call Kickoff Jam. (that is a link to the event)
We've been dreaming of trying to do something big like this to kickoff the home opening weekend and be a fun damn time for Panthers fans to get together, hopefully annually. The state of the world and our team hasn't allowed it to be a good time to take a risk like this (I don't think I need to tell anyone in here how apathetic our fans have been for the last few years - and for good reason). But with excitement building and since we have a little hope for the first time in 5 years, we decided to go for it.Â
To be fully transparent and vulnerable, this is the largest undertaking we've ever had and it's semi-frightening. Logistically, financially, size of the event, etc... all are bigger and more complex than anything we've ever tried (even more than taking so many fans to London). But, it's also really exciting, and I know we're up to the challenge.Â
We're keeping with the obvious (and fun) "throwback" theme for the season and we've landed a few throwback bands. Right now we have Arrested Development and Better Than Erza (I linked them for you youngin's). We're also right on the verge of signing a third band, and one that I am VERY excited about. I hope to have it done in a few days and will share it here.Â
We've also secured some former Panthers. We've announced Tolbert and CJ so far. We have two more to announce next week and they're both big names. I'll share them here once we announce them. We're working on current players, too, but they'll all be game time decisions due to it being a game weekend.Â
Of course we'll have Sir Purr, TopCats, DJ Vinny, tailgate games, and other things to make it feel like a tailgate. Because that's what all of us do best.
Anyway, I'm very excited (and nervous) to take this chance and try to do some cool poo for our fans. I hope some of y'all will come hang out.
Much love to @punkpanther for creating us a dope logo.Â

@RoaringRiot lead us please!
Winning is the answer. 3-4 years of sustained success would change this franchise and fanbase so much. We try to do cool poo for the fans but there isn't much you can do when no one cares because your team is consistently bad.Â

What are the details of the Riot trip?
Couple buses heading down Sat (or meet us there). Event that night. Big tailgate Sunday. Lower level tickets together. Watching Bryce win his first start.Â

Iâve thought about joining roaring riot for that game a few times since Atlanta is kind of the perfect distance of not wanting to drive, but a tolerable bus ride.
Bring itâŚ.

Itâs fun to see when people decide to blame the organization for poo and then other times decide to get their backs.Â

I remember an article from 2020 where it said you were doing it. Was that a 1 time thing or has it continued?
We did it during covid, but it was easy then because there were open seats. We've worked with them on several plans since - all of which have us paying full price for all the tickets - but they never want to do it. The upper corners is the best they have agreed to. And, yeah, that ain't it .

Hasn't Roaring Riot been doing this for several years?
Basically a decade.Â
Edit: to be clear, I mean conversations with the team

I happened to get tickets to the AFC Championship game in KC this past year and the place is deafening. Probably wouldnt be that loud for a Chiefs Panthers game given its not rivalry but it was insane how loud it was
Oh, yeah, no doubt it is one of the best. I just havent been there so I cant speak to it. Hate that covid took our trip to KC away. I was looking forward to that one.Â

Yeah I wasn't expecting much but I never visited the NorthWest was always curious about Seattle. All I hear is rain and coffee. Â
Not sure what you're into, but there are several other places within short drives that are cool. But a week in Seattle is too much. But itâs a cool area to visit for the first timeÂ

Im planning to stay there on a week vacation.
Fine. You won't need a full week in the city though. Not an amazing city but, fine

Yup. Of all the stadiums, the Super Dome was the loudest/ most intimidating. Reminds of a huge college game.
To be fair, I've never been to KC (it was COVID the year we were supposed to go). I've been to Seattle 6-7 times. The playoff game there was insanely loud. I've been to the Super Dome 8-10 times and each time I'm like "fug, this place is scary"Â

Just another sign for me to book my flight to Seattle later this year. I want to see that crowd live in person. I know it's the best crowd in the NFL.
They weren't anything special last season but they were when Russ was there. From my experiences, the Super Dome is more intimidating and impressiveÂ

Real talk thoughâŚ.maybe I should call him again and try to get him there. With the schedule being the eight year rotation from 2015, it seems appropriate @Pup McBarky
