  1. I don’t think he means intentionally tank. I think he means it might just happen with this staff, roster and QB that we end up with the 1st pick overall in 2025. Let’s say this all blows up this year. New staff, a lot of roster turnover again after this year, new scheme and Bryce. It could happen… The way a lot of these contracts were structured and the inclusion of DJ into the trade allows us to somewhat “recover” in 2 years if this all didn’t work. This is honestly such a damn mess already it’s crazy.
  2. I’d say our best hope is 2025. A lot of the awful contracts handed out this offseason are two year deals but in typical Panthers fashion that won’t come without a dead money hit in 2025 The way this thing seems structured and I assume it was unintentional because no one in that building is smart, we could have a new fresh start in 2025. This staff, offense, QB etc it isn’t good. Some think we haven’t reached rock bottom yet and I agree we haven’t. Im just hoping rock bottom brings us the 1st overall pick and 2025 and we get to do this all over again
  3. For the first time in a loooooong time I feel the exact same way. I was excited about this season but that came to a screeching halt. As long as Tepper owns this team it’s going to be like this.
  4. 3 games? He’s been a top recruit playing QB his entire life. Being smart is literally the ONLY reason he went 1st overall. The mistakes he’s making are super concerning
  5. It was a damn layup. In a situation where we needed 6 with 2 plays left in the game. The play was called for Theilen to get 6 there and it was there. Again, this was supposed to be a strength of Young’s. He comes in below average in so many other areas that if his one strength isn’t going to carry over he is doomed.
  6. Considering all they’ve done is tell us how smart Bryce is and how much they’ve been able to put on his plate it’s becoming quite obvious which one it is
  7. Deemed uncatchable because his route running has been all over the Damn place or he slips coming out of his break
  8. Yep and you can’t tell me a guy like Chark can’t get deep. He’s been doing it since he came into the league.
  9. Acknowledges the OL struggles, the lack of speed on the perimeter but also says Bryce needs to be better. And that’s just the truth
  10. Welp there it is. Like a few of us had pointed out earlier, JT says the Theilen double move is absolutely there and that ball has to be thrown. Says Minnesota gave us a gift Maybe those in denial we’ll listen now that it’s coming from JT JT even goes as far as saying he feels bad for Theilen here
  11. How hasn’t he? He should’ve started the second he finished playing Kansas St. He spent more time trying to retain water in the days leading up to the combine than he did trying to gain real weight all offseason I get that he was super busy with appearances and etc but all that goes away if you’re not successful in the NFL. In order for him to give himself a chance at that he needs to add weight. He’s a professional athlete and calories/working out are part of the job At some point he might seriously want to consider taking the CMC route
  12. Given Young’s limitations athletically, it’s even more important he gains about 15 pounds. It blows my mind for someone who’s apparently super smart that this wasn’t his focus this past offseason In order to buy time and hang onto the ball he’s going to need to get bigger, faster and stronger. He’s simply not good enough the way he is right now
  13. The worst part about this is we absolutely HAD to have a touchdown here. It was the end of the game. So what? You didn’t like this look and thought you’d get a better on 4th down? No chance. As soon as the ball was snapped you could tell if Theilen got his guy to bite (he did) on the first move it was a layup for a touchdown.
  14. Same here I figured teams like Zona and Tampa were openly tanking and there would be no way we’d be worse than them. It was a rare situation where the team at 1 was willing to trade out. So no issues with shooting their shot but you absolutely couldn’t miss and now here we are
  15. This is when the ball needed to be thrown. Bryce got rave reviews for his ability to throw with anticipation. So how does he not see this? When Theilen hit the defender with the double move he was going to be open
  16. I can’t remember who but someone did a video on this and they said his footwork is like that so he can drop back on his toes and see the field. Which sure fine BUT then you get situations like this and he’s screwed. Not to mention he doesn’t have the arm strength to recovery quickly from it if need be. He has to gather and rip.
  17. Yep this is the throw many of us have been talking about. That should be a touchdown.
  18. I just feel like this pick needed to be a home run. Like a Cam Newton type home run. Someone who has the ability to succeed on any given day despite the incompetence of this organization starting from the very top down to the janitor. As long as Tepper is in charge a generational QB is our only hope. He’s the worst owner in the NFL. He hasn’t gotten anything right so far and I don’t see that changing. The chances of him stringing together a couple good decision back to back with a QB, HC and GM are 0. Which with a guy like Bryce our success is dependant on those hires.
  19. Bates has him questioning his arm and now Flores has him questioning his brain
  20. Bryce will forever be fully dependant on being surrounded with high level talent and a really good HC/OC like Tua If Bryce was capable of taking over a game we don’t lose games like we did to the Vikes or Saints. I’m very curious to see what the Dolphins do with Tua. How different would someone like Josh Dobbs, Brisett or a Kenny Pickett’s numbers look compared to Tua’s if they were QB in Miami right now?
