That play to DJ was pretty good.. I think this is a give it time situation...

And I promise you there should be a grading curve because every player isn't starting from the same starting line... Do you expect Darnold to be as on point as Russell?? So why should he be compare to him??

This is why I don't think that is fair... What 24 or younger player in the league on a new team in his 4 game of a new scheme is scoring high Mark's??

Long pass Accuracy depends on alot factors Sam isn't up to date on.. Oline play, time in the same scheme, and experience with your weapons...

What is the comparable subjects?? League wide or players in similar development range and situation..

My problem with this type of analysis is the ultra focus on every throw.. Without having the ability to scan and make a comparison with the league... As a fan (like we did with Cam) we critic every throw like nobody misses open WR's are has overthrown or underthrown balls. Example.. Matt Stafford missed the wide open deep pass to D Jax 3x in the Tampa game.. Before hitting it on the 4th time... Nobody critics the 3 misses.. Deep passing and hitting the correct read.. Depends on Oline play, familiarity with the system and reps with your weapons.. All the things Sam doesn't have yet.. If we can step back and remember this is a reclamation project still.. We didn't get a finished product when trading for Sam... We got a damage player that we have to breakdown and re teach how to be a NFL Qb.. This guy is still younger then Joe Burrow and only a 2 years older then the rookie Qb drafted this year... The fact that he is this far so early in this project is a win in my book... And in reality all critics need to come with caveat of the situation and the player contextualize level in this development stage he's in..

Because he has to carry a bigger load on the team.. And the Pline have gotten worse..

4 games into learning a new system with new coaching and learning his new teammates... Every QB in the has misses and bad TO.. Especially when they are under pressure.. Even when they have time the pocket clock speeds up after being hit a few times... He has far exceeded my expectations so far in all categories.. I didn't expect him to be out of the game manager phase until mid season... He is already past the point for me.. He is creating opportunities and moving chains even with long down and distance.. Again I wasn't a Darnold guy and still have questions.. But the proof on the field is hard to argue with and I can only see him get better as he gets more time in the system and his weapons get better adjusted with him..

Biggest positive.. I think we might have a franchise QB. Right now Darnold is top 5 in passing yards top 10 in passer rating and QBR and top 15 in comp percentage..

Great oline.. 3 new members in the Secondary... We're built on speed they are built big with power... And they were able to wear us down.. It happens..

Yeah I don't give a fug.. I'm seeing good things from the guy in the situation he's in and I didn't expect it.. So I'm impressed so far..

Noooooo.. I'm giving context to the situation Darnold in and seeing growth and better QB play then I have in 3 years with this team... I see a QB that actually looks like he can carry some of this team woes. In situation.. Which I haven't seen since healthy Cam... Matt Ryan is a solid QB but never carried a team with less the great condition.. And Goff is proven what he is... Darnold is performing at a top 10 QB level with a bad Oline missing his top weapon.. And vs any other team less talented then.the Cowboys would have lead us to victory..

This is stupid.. After 3 years of injured Cam a Game manager supreme and the backup brigade... Some ppl can't recognize actual talent and solid to really good play from the QB position..lol

He has 2 all pro players?? And again this is Darnold 4th game.. I like how your expectations seem higher then it would be for Goff..

So the fug what... At the end of the day.. The 2015 panthers defense lead the league in producing TO by a large margin.. And 2015 had the best field position all year... Those are facts.. sorry..

They still count right?? And if we want to use that criteria alot of your favorite "franchise" lived off of garbage numbers and still consider them great.. Example Drew Brees..

Also let's mention this is his 4th real game playing in a new system with no coaching and teammates.. Is it supposed to be perfect right away??

Love the guy in my Avy.. But reality is he had a great defense that forced TO.. And even as great as he was he didn't look good when being hit all game.. Example . Monday night game vs Philly 2016 or 2014.. Or Monday night game vs the Giants.. That is reality

Ppl put a microscope on the team they watch and block what other teams are doing.. Every QB has overthrows underthrows and bad TO.. The good QB limit them.. But no QB looks good or great being hit 11x sacked 5 and running most of the game.. none

What QB doesn't. .. What QB wins with bad coaching bad defense bad Oline and no weapons??
