We do have to admit.. We made the playoffs last year because of a rule.. We weren't one of the 12 best teams in the league last year.. We got lucky being in a crappy division. .

1st thanks for staying on topic.. But my opinion is he isn't good enough to be a starter in a 3 wide set.. Especially if the 3wide also includes Cotchery. . Just my opinion he is a 4th /5th wr not good enough to be starter.. If KB got hurt would you feel like Bersin could in anyway fill his role?? No.. Then add in the fact he offers nothing on special teams. . Now you have a WR on your roster not good enough to start in a pinch and isn't giving anything on special teams. . Dead weight..

Well Fuzz that's the point... You can't make a thread acting like Cam has been giving a normal amount of talented weapons and we shouldn't complain.. But admit in the same thread that we completely dumpster dive the talent around him. . We might have had to but it doesn't make it right...

No problem with the way Gettlemen is doing his job for the most part.. I love having a monster defense. . But when you have a franchise QB.. you don't always have to dumpster dive to surround him with talent. . And we can all agree.. last year we complete dumpster dive on offense. ..

Got dam nobody is saying break the bank for Randall Cobb or Michael Crabtree. . All most are saying is make a effort Draft or FA to add weapons. . How about instead of taking B oykins to dinner you look at a Nicks or Moore 1st. .

That's my hope that Gettlemen uses FA to add depth on a already good defense. . And uses the draft to add impact players to a offense that needs it..

Great point.. If we were a different offense and he was the 4th options on a lot plays than he might be worth keeping around. .

"I was stupid for calling a person with 13 catches in a season a "consistent chain mover" because it's obvious with only 13 catches he didn't move many chains".. Especially considering some "consistent chain movers" actually make 13 chain moving catches in 1 game..lol

We don't know what they can do.. And to be real this coaching staff decisions on "putting the best player on the field" has been question more than a few times. . But I wouldn't give 2 pennies if we signed better players at WR and they were gone as well..

So he's cheap and makes 4 to 5 important catches a year so let's keep him.. Okay..m

2 things make this post real stupid.. 1. To be considered a consistent "chain mover" you have to have more than 13 catches in a season! ! Wtf is wrong with your standards for a WR?? I could see if he had 40 to 50 catches and more than half went for 1st downs.. But 13 catches in a season. . And you talk like this guy is Anquan Boldin? ? That is a example of a "consistent chain mover" Boldin.. 2. Your reading comprehension is off. I said "change the (13 catch) guy who can't contribute on special teams.. To a guy who can actually, maybe, potentially take those (13 catches) to the house.. Or at at least make those (13 catches) and be big player on special teams".. This is what I said genius..

This is not that hard to understand. . Get a player that either is a better contributor on special teams or can turn that once in a while clutch catch into more than just a 1st down..

Ideal situation is Corey Brown is your 5th WR. . And Bersin and Cotchery are beaten off the roster in TC by players who offer more play making ability and special teams help..

Thank goodness somebody gets it.. He's a 5th WR that offers nothing on special team or is a special play maker that you can design plays for.. You have a possession WR who can't be a starter and offers nothing on special teams.. So he's dead weight.. Your 5th WR should be something other than a possession WR. .

This Ted Williams signing let's me know that Colin Jones is getting a bigger role in the defense. .
