And? Darnold still sucked worse than he has in his entire career, which is saying something. Eventually the blind hope of Darnold becoming anything other than a career backup will wear off. Unfortunately for us, it’ll be another year before we are able to rid ourselves of him. Funny you mention PJ Walker backing him up - did you happen to miss the fact that we rushed out to re-sign him yesterday. So, nothing changing on that front.

Because Darnold is a bust. You can’t develop a bust. He is what he is.

It was a stark contrast to how they (Rhule) was ready to throw Teddy B out into the street last season. Until we do something else at QB, I’ll refrain from giving him the benefit of the doubt.

A breath of fresh air until you hear him gloating over Sam Darnold and emphasizing the need to prop him up with top tier talent literally everywhere in order to get an resemblance of consistent success out of him. This front office is willing to ride the Darnold decision to their deathbed.

They wasted no time last year to show their cards on moving on from Teddy. That same energy wasn’t brought to the table in regards to Darnold.
