  1. And he believes in himself. That doesn’t always work out, but I like the mentality.
  2. The transition tag for a WR this off-season was $17,991,000. If Chark shows he’s capable of being a WR1 and we can’t strike a long term deal, he seems a perfect candidate for the transition tag. If someone gives him a contract offer we don’t want to match, we receive two 1sts for a one year rental with a significant injury history.
  3. They deserve everything coming their way. They will have to watch our QB1 thrive while figuring out that Fields will never develop into a top tier NFL QB.
  4. From everything I’ve heard from Reich about what he looks for in a QB, elite processing sounds like it’s close to the top along with playmaking ability. Measurables were downplayed by him. I guess we’ll find out soon, but I think there’s a good chance it’s Young.
  5. I think he’s just running with Reich likes Stroud bc he’s always had bigger QBs. He doesn’t know who Reich actually prefers. I don’t think he truly knows who any of them like most.
  6. 185 won’t be his actual playing weight as a grown man. He’s 21 years old and has already shown he can weigh 204 fairly easy.
  7. No they weren’t. Look up their combine measurements.
  8. He was the furthest off of the three I mentioned for sure. Still think Young will end up playing around 215.
  9. You do realize you’re trying to justify not picking a player because you think he drank 15 bottles of water before his weigh in and then pissed it out the next day?
  10. You didn’t watch him throw. Clearly. The poster was misleading with his description of Bryce’s throws. A couple were outright drops and two others hit the roof. That equates to Bryce struggled with the deep ball?? lol no and do better
  11. Yea, that seems too good to be true. Looking at other trades (Waller, Cooks, E Moore), I guess it’s possible the Cards would demand less to get him off their books.
  12. Psssh while you complain that Young didn’t throw a ball 10 inches shorter 50+ yards downfield. Burton dropped the first one right over his shoulder. Then looked like he gave up on his next couple deep balls bc he didn’t want it to happen again.
  13. Two things confirmed for me: 1) Bryce Young is a great passer of the football 2) His receivers were pretty trash this year Burton is garbage. Even Gibbs, as talented as he is, looked to bust his nose on a pass right through his hands.
  14. Don’t sweat it. He’s just hating on Young with nothing to back it up.
  15. McShay just said exactly what I did about Young and Mahomes.
  16. Except by rules, the heavyweights aren’t allowed to throw haymakers. Mostly jabs only.
  17. I wasn’t saying “diet” as in a version that weighs less. It was meant to imply he’s a lesser version of Mahomes. His play style is very similar though. Im not saying Young is on par with likely the most talented QB to ever play the game. I’m also not saying he can’t get close.
  18. I do. I think Reich and co or the coaching staff where he lands will coach him to settle his feet more in the pocket. In doing so, they need to be careful to not limit what makes him special. He’s an elite distributor of the football and a lot of that is a product of his maneuvers in the pocket. I believe he does some of that to overcome his height (backing up to extend plays). Stroud, to me, is an elite passer. I view Young as an elite passer and also an elite playmaker. That’s why I view him as a diet Mahomes and hope he’s the pick.
  19. The main deficiencies were bouncy/inconsistent footwork, sometimes missing open receivers in the middle of the field, and trying to extend plays too long. What’s funny is in some of the lowlights where his footwork is notably erratic, Bryce still finds a way athletically to hit the receiver.
  20. Yea, these are great. Thanks for posting. I watched both the Stroud and Young videos. I feel like we can be optimistic about our future with either QB as our guy moving forward. With that said, there are just more special plays and wow factor in Young’s tape. Sports are entertainment and he would bring it the most. I think we’ll be a consistent playoff caliber team with either one. Everyone looks for QBs to go through their progressions, but there is a level beyond that. Young has the awareness and processing to utilize quick pump fakes or head movements to get his target open. He does that while going through progressions. The Thinking Football video does a good job of showing it, and it’s part of what makes him my #1 QB. We’re in a good spot to have the option to pick from those two.
