  1. When Brooks was drafted, Hubbard’s contract was ending and the only guy we had locked up was Miles Sanders. That’s a need. Positional value can be argued for first round RBs, but taking who many thought was RB1 in the 2nd round is a smart move. From my perspective, you’re taking the bad angle as well as being negative. Sometimes the cookie crumbles with bad injury luck. Unfortunately, that’s difficult to predict. If we didn’t roster anyone who’s tore an ACL, we’d miss out on a lot of quality players.
  2. It’s only dumb bc he injured his knee again. If he had come on last year and looked like a poor man’s J Gibbs, it wouldn’t seem dumb. Hate it worked out that way for the guy and really hoping he works out and can stay healthy this time.
  3. Way to find something to complain about during what’s looking like a successful draft. Cheers
  4. Check our contracted WRs for 2026 and you’ll see a huge need.
  5. Walker/Stewart>Mykel on EDGE for me I’d still like to add TMac. The only two WRs we have contracted beyond this year are XL and Coker (ERFA). Moving forward with TMac and those two feels much better.
  6. I don’t think Dave wants a repeat of last year when XL announced to the world he was our target. I think he wants to throw people off the scent more this year, which makes me think TMac might be the pick if he’s available. No one would feel really good about our WR room right now. A second-year WR with a lot to prove, a promising second-year UDFA, a WR who’s about to retire, and David Moore. The only reason you talk about being satisfied with that room is if you truly think you’ve found studs in XL & Coker, or you’re hoping a WR falls to you in the draft.
  7. I wouldn’t hate it. He flashes on film similar to Brian Branch.
  8. What if it works out in a big way? Sure doesn’t hurt anything to take the swing.
  9. I think it’s far too early to know which side of the scale Shemar Stewart will land. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a top 10 EDGE in 3-4 years. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he has a career like YGM.
  10. Thanks for this excellent post OP. We definitely upgraded our DL this year like we did our IOL last year. Hopefully we’ll see similar results.
  11. In that range, I’d prefer Jayden Higgins or Kyle Williams. Two different types of WRs. Select Williams to replace AT if we feel good about XL/Coker. Select Higgins if we’re still unsure about XL/Coker.
  12. What do you make of him apparently ranking #1 in FBS in time to first pressure?
  13. If we draft well at OLB this year, no one on that list is a must keep outside of maybe Moton.
  14. I was talking about 2026. We need to draft at least one OLB and get them in our program so they can hit the ground running when Clowney/Wonnum’s contracts expire.
  15. Agreed. The only OLBs we have under contract for 2026 are DJ Johnson and newly acquired Patrick Jones. It would be great if Johnson made some noise this year.
