fwiw i bet new england could have gotten similar production out of someone like David Sims.

he definitely looks leaner, but i wouldn't be surprised if that was an intentional choice. it's just difficult for someone that size to keep that mass on and not have a bunch of nagging injuries. Zion Williamson is an obvious example of this. Roethlisberger is a different example of this because he stayed by just getting fat. I doubt it's effected his arm strength though as that is more structural than a question of mass moving mass.

I would not. Not many teams in the league have the coaching capacities to make him successful, to say nothing of the personnel. It's just not fair to assume the panthers could get the same out of him when the panthers, just like every other non new england team in the league, are not new england. This is made worse because the Panthers have a glaring need at QB and haven't gotten to see Jaycee Horn. Even assuming the QB situation is still ass, if Horn was out there balling out we wouldn't be so upset about it. And just so we're clear, Horn was absolutely passing the eyeball test.

i just do not understand what the point of these plays even are under ideal circumstances like everything goes right, what do any of these plays accomplish the field just feels so small when the panthers are on offense. not like the panthers can sore at will, but that they're playing all their players in a much smaller space than everyone else.
