Official Week 3: Panthers vs. Falcons Gameday Thread
electro's horse replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brady also played the first six years of his career before they opened up the passing rules. imagine Bryce trying to play in 2001. -
Is Mike Jack already the 2nd best trade in Panthers history?

Chris Harris. -
the defense doesn’t go up against records. you could have out south meck out there against the falcons Sunday.

Cam ward is a starting qb. Which is it? -
They’re gonna have to go up against a real offense before any kind of judgement can be made of them. Tlaw looks like damaged goods, Kyler is completely washed, and Penix….well…. they look better compared to last season but that’s what you’d expect with a healthy brown and horn. I haven’t seen anything that indicates they’ll be considered an overall good defense when the dust has settled. 2002 it is not.
-
Lane probably already banged Brian Kelly’s whole family and is waiting on the reveal.
-
He’s got like…four unless we’re just not counting games against the falcons as a rule which I think is harsh but fair.
-
Gonna be a rough day in the film room for Jackson since he couldn’t get around a qb without ligaments falling to the ground.

panthers offense 30 of 32 in yards per play
electro's horse replied to fanpanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Make a thread about it. No one is going to talk about Bryce Young in a Mike Jackson thread. -
Penix absolutely got worse later in the game, but early in the game there were several throws that didn't look like he and the WR were on the same page. Like there's bad throws then there's the qb throwing a different route. maybe the headsets were off in the first half and penix had just melted down by the second half

Why do you guys insist on always talking about the biggest, most glaring problem on the team -

Year 3 of this top paid offensive line in the nfl, two first round wrs, very good running back, whole different coaching staff imagine having these arguments about Jimmy Clausen -

These posts read like a guy in a doomed marriage who gets upset one trip to McDonald’s without a fight didn’t save everything. -
Was hoping this was Penix getting hip tossed out of bounds. even the refs were like “yeah this dude sucks hit him again”
-
And the defense should get all the credit. Offense did mostly nothing. it was a 10 point game until Penix handed off a ball to the DB for six in the third quarter. even if you think the game flow indicated the passes and playcalling, the panthers couldn’t move the ball at all. Their fg was in the second was from the 40. But I guess the offense did better than the jj McCarthey led Vikings. put that in the ring of honor.

Bryce vs the Falcons: 3-1 vs literally anyone else: 4-25 Get a real qb, make Bryce a backup like his skill set indicates, and trot him out twice a year.
-
He’s a backup caliber player and these are backup caliber stats. This is his realistic good game.

lmao

the next month is patriots, dolphins, cowboys and jets you're half a month ahead

Bucs barely beat the Jets yesterday and were already a mash unit on their offensive line when they played the falcons. The Falcons got six sacks against JJ McCarthey who after the game was "injured." He suck worse than bryce who cares. okay then does Tet jumping fifteen feet in the air and pulling down a bryce blimp not count as a throw? I don't remember if there was a defender behind him there but that ball isn't an NFL throw and should have been six the other way. we can go back and forth on this. At the end of the day, like I said, the common factor for the last three seasons of hell is Bryce.
-
what?
-
yeah but whats a drop, because at this point bryce defenders point to anything that hits a part of the receivers body as a drop like when renfrow had to stop and twist and reach behind himself yesterday are we calling that a drop? because that's a terrible throw. Just because someone can get a paw on it doesn't mean it should have been caught or wasn't a bad throw and his defenders get so caught up in this that they ignore the simple fact that this kind of production is just what the panthers have gotten from the QB position since he's been here, and that stretches across multiple coaching staffs and wide receiver rooms. What's the common factor in three years of 12/25, 125 yards, maybe a TD, maybe a lost fumble, maybe an interception, around 20 points scored when things are going well
