If I’m C.J. Stroud, I’m walking up to Ryan Day, ripping up his offensive game plan and saying…
-
Yikes… the Panthers/Bucs game is precisely why I don’t gamble on sports.
-
I’d agree with this as well which is why I truly believe OSU is a good team. Outside of Alabama, OSU has been the most consistent team at securing elite recruits.
-
Eventually I think we will see a super conference. That’s why I think all the independents (outside of Notre Dame) joined a conference. On the downside of that, a super conference could destroy college basketball.
-
Hell I don’t know, I don’t pay too much attention to that. I like the advanced stats but at the end of the day I trust my eyes more than a computer. I think OSU is a very good team regardless of who they are playing.
-
That’s why I asked, who are you judging? By that reasoning, we should be looking at teams and players from teams that you can apparently judge. As Ohio State has the 12th ranked SOS, it would leave me to believe that we can only judge teams that have a better SOS than them. So which teams can we say… yeah, they are legit… Bama and Tennessee? Maybe Oklahoma State?
-
I think in general he means that he looks sluggish. And while I’m a Stroud believer, I tend to agree, he moves like he’s stuck in quick sand, but somehow he’s rarely tackled behind the LOS on scrambles.
-
Their SOS is 12th… so who exactly can I watch and be comfortable knowing that they are playing good teams? Since OSU’s SOS is 12th it means that only teams with a better SOS play anyone… so I guess only Alabama and Tennessee. Anyone else want to chime in and make a list for me of the teams that actually “play someone”… It’s just not a good argument and never has been. If you want to say they don’t pass the eye test then that’s fine, I’ve used that argument year after year with Notre Dame… but the, “they don’t play anyone” argument is worn out. For what it’s worth, I do think OSU passes the eye test. Their schemes work on every team they play.
-
Stroud looks like he’s moving in slow motion but somehow he doesn’t get tackled behind the LOS much on scrambles.
-
It’s the same argument year after year… “they don’t play anyone”… it’s fugging stupid. For those that feel that way they need to go start an SEC football thread and can hang out there… this a COLLEGE FOOTBALL thread… there can be good college football teams outside of the SEC.
-
Bro stop… this is a tired argument and it’s used to try and ensure that your “argument” is valid when it’s not… If Ohio State plays well and shuts teams out then it’s because they don’t play anyone… if they play bad it’s because they aren’t good… this is a dumb argument… you can only control what you can control and Ohio State is dominating everyone. Good teams make other teams look like utter dog poo and Ohio State has been doing that week in and week out. They’d be doing it on an ever more dominating level if they had a top tier coach, Ryan Day is overrated in my opinion.
-
Ohio State is 2nd in total defense… this isn’t some outlier… they’ve been shutting down everyone every week. And if your excuse is that they don’t play anyone then just go watch Georgia and Tennessee because those are probably the only teams that actually play “anybody”.
-
They’ve been doing this to everyone… they have a great defense this year… only someone who hasn’t watched their games would say otherwise.
-
Agreed, we need a new one each week. Hate sifting through all the old posts.
-
Ohio State defense is for real this year.
-
First rule is you go for the throat after a turnover… what does Ryan Day do… run, screen, screen. Ohio State has the players to win a National Championship but i question a lot of their coaching decisions. You could put a bunch of G5 coaches in the situation that Ryan Day is in and they’d get better results.

Canes vs Islanders 7pm puck drop
MillionDollarCam replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
I’d like to see something like this: Svechnikov - Aho - Teravainen Necas - Kotkaniemi - Jarvis Drury - Staal - Fast Martinook - Stastny - Noesen Stepan I don’t know if Necas can play left wing but I’d give it a shot. Svech and Necas are the only offense we have right now so we need to split them up. I think Necas and Jarvis could be successful together because they both have speed. -
It’s time to give him a look. They still can’t find the right guy to put next to Staal. It’s Drury’s turn to get a chance.
-
Not sure that’s a good idea either, he’s been getting lit up in Chicago. I follow the Wolves quite a bit and they are struggling this year. Though, defenseman, Anttoni Honka, looks like he might be a good player.

Ethan Bear Situation To Be Resolved Soon
MillionDollarCam replied to MillionDollarCam's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Fug me… I guess he had no value… Bear (18% retained) and Lane Pederson to Vancouver for a 2023 5th round pick… this is one of the very few blunders of Donny W’s time as GM… should have never qualified Bear. -
Atlanta is pretty good against the run but they are DEAD LAST in passing defense… this is a good of a game as ever to take the training wheels off P.J. and let him sling it around. Now that we are legit playing for something, I think it happens. Panthers - 31 Falcons - 17
