I’m still not sure why Kemba gets a bunch of hate from Knicks fans… 1) Their team is ass, 2) Did they really think they were going to get a 20/8/5 player at this point in Kenna’s career? I’d be happy if Kemba could give us the same numbers that he gave New York last year.

I actually like Thor, I think he showed what he can do in the last summer league game. If you put him in a lineup with Ball, Mitchell, and Washington then he’ll draw the easiest assignment and I think he’d take advantage. Really, the only player that I’d be concerned about getting meaningful minutes is Kai, he still needs another year of development. Richards might fall into that group as well but at this point he is what he is. I’ll withhold judgment on Richards until I see him against other NBA players in preseason. Ultimately, I’d be fine playing small ball to start the game then adjusting to matchups as the game goes on. Starters - Ball, Mitchell, Rozier, Washington, Plumlee Rotational - Kemba, Beasley, Martin, Thor, McDaniels, Williams, Richards Bench - McGowens, Jones If Bridges somehow doesn’t get jail time then try to trade him for a depth SF. It probably wouldn’t be a game changing player but it’s better than having Bridges on the roster.

The Wolves roster will currently consist of some sort of combination of the below players. Forwards - Stefan Noesen, Malte Stromwall, Mackenzie MacEachern, Lane Pederson, Jamieson Rees, Stelio Mattheos, Ryan Suzuki, Vasili Ponomarev, Noel Gunler, Blake Murray, Joseph LaBate (Wolves contract), Josh Melnick (Wolves contract) Defensemen - Dylan Coghlan, William Lagesson, Max Lajoie, Cavan Fitzgerald, Ronan Seeley, Griffin Mendel Goalies - Pyotr Kochetkov, Zach Sawchenko Joey Keane, Jesper Sellgren, and Tarmo Reunanen have decided to go overseas.

RFA, Stelio Mattheos is officially back.

Well if it wasn’t already obvious, one of Kemba or IT will probably be back in purple and teal next year.

In response to this… The Canes have done this… Lajoie could also be headed out depending on how arbitration goes. Luckily, Ronan Seeley will be a full-timer with the Wolves next year so that should be a big boost for them.

Reports are that the Hornets were one of five or so teams that talked to the Jazz about Mitchell. Bill Simmons came up with a trade idea of Hayward, Oubre, Bouknight, three first rounders, and one pick swap for Mitchell and Beasley. No idea what the Hornets would do about the SF position unless they played small… G - Ball, G - Mitchell, Beasley, McGowens G/F - Rozier, Martin, McDaniels F - Washington, Thor, Jones C - Plumlee, Williams, Richards The Hornets would probably have just enough money to bring back Kemba to complete their roster.

So reports are that our package for Tkachuk was built around Necas. Just a guess but I’m thinking it was probably Necas, Morrow, and a first. With that said, the Canes seem keen on upgrading the forward position… I’d be shocked if Necas wasn’t moved in a package for a top six forward.

In other news, it’s nice to see that Hegardt balled out for the Independence last night. Two assists and 1 goal, including the game winner.

No idea what our payroll is but I agree, I know it’s the nature of soccer that the guys that make all the money get all the field time but they are also divas and Karol’s on-field antics suggest he has that same mentality. I want to see more of our young players who actually look threatening. Additionally I don’t know how much longer we can go without a number 10… after seeing Bernardeschi destroy us yesterday, I have no idea why we weren’t in on him… after all, Toronto got him in a free transfer so all they are paying is his wages.

I mean that’s exactly what I said but you have to give up assets to do that, no one is going to take 25% for free, and if you go up to 50% then you are going to be giving up big time assets. The Canes aren’t going to give up Drury or Morrow for Kane. He’s a UFA after this year and the Canes can easily fit him in if the Hawks retain 50% as long as someone like Necas and Gardiner (50% retained) is going back the other way. There’s no need to give up picks and prospects to a third party for a player whose cap hit comes off the books at the end of the season.

The max retainment a team can do is 50%, the Canes would need to find a third team to eat the additional 25% but obviously they’d have to give assets to do so which is why I don’t think that’s likely. Kane at 50% for an extended Necas and Gardiner at 50% should get it done. At the end of the day Kane is a free agent next year and is much older than Tkachuk so he shouldn’t pull nearly as much as extend Tkachuk got.

What a piss poor performance… 4-0 in the first half. Are we going to continue to sit on our ass during the summer transfer window or open up the pocket book and bring some actual talent to the team.

Realistically, Charlotte would need to get around 22 more points to have a chance at the playoffs. So over the last 12 games they’d need to go 8-4 or 7-3-1, after tonight, it’s highly unlikely.

There’s a relatively new Twitter account out there that has been calling all of the Canes moves before they happen, that account stated that they weren’t at liberty to discuss what our offer was but that individual did state that they are glad that we didn’t try to outbid Florida.

I’m just not about using five or six different formations as it’s an indicator that you are adapting to your opponent rather than forcing your opponent to adapt to you. Pick an attacking formation and defensive formation and perfect them. Charlotte deploys all these different formations trying to combat certain tactics or personnel (tonight it’s the two Italians) that their opponent is employing and it never works.

Lattanzio fuged the team from the start with this lineup. Tired of that poo, it lost them the Miami game and now we are getting shallacked by Toronto.

And we’re down 1-0 early off of a ridiculous deflection. Our boys look confused, I’m pretty tired of Lattanzio over tinkering with the formation.
