Slowik. I could see him struggling early, similarly to Zac Taylor, but I think he’d eventually become a very successful head coach because he’s shown a willingness to adapt and even change his philosophy. For example, this year the Texans were second in the NFL in called plays that resulted in run-run-pass. However, this past week against the Browns, Slowik did not go run-run-pass a single time. The result was the Texans absolutely shredding the Browns. I personally feel like that shows growth and in a short time period as well. That’s one thing I really like about Slowik, the growth he’s shown and in a very short amount of time.

Personal opinion but I think KK is actually too gritty for a 2C and he’s ideally a 3C. I feel like Drury is in that same mold but probably has more skill than KK which is why I’d give him a shot as 2C. In order for KK to be successful offensively he needs feeders. His shot is elite but everything else is kind of average. I think he belongs with two wingers that can create opportunities for him. Who those two wingers could be is up for debate.

We’re not that type of team in my opinion. Rod’s MO has been three scoring and one checking. Problem is we’ve been two scoring and one checking. KK and Necas, once he gets back, need to get going.

Doesn’t really matter who the money is for, it’s about not just trading guys for the sake of trading them. Hornets should be a cap floor team and continuing to tank until their young talent gets them close to being a top 5 team in the east, once that’s been accomplished then they can start spending money. But if they keep cycling through bad contracts then they’ll never have success.

I think you have to give Drury a chance at 2C before the TDL. If he stays producing then great but if not then we need to go get one. I’d look at: Svechnikov - Aho - Teravainen Bunting - Drury - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Noesen - Kotkaniemi - Jarvis Maybe Noesen and Jarvis can jumpstart KK.

Justin Williams was a real one, glad he’s getting honored.

I want nothing to do with any of the Eagles personnel. They’ve arguably been the worst team in the NFL over the past three weeks and as national pundits have stated, their offense is easy to defend. They use motion less than any team in the NFL and don’t cause opposing defenses to have to adjust at all. There’s nothing confusing or interesting about the Eagles offense and it all relies on elite execution by the players. No thank you.

I don’t know if anyone has been keeping up with this kid but he’s an elite goal scorer. 14 goals in 20 games for U of Maine which leads all freshman.

Coaching matters, that’s why Antonio Pierce was able to get more out of the Raiders than Josh McDaniels ever did. You still need good players but an average team talent wise can beat an above average team with good coaching.

Packers have been playing really good ball ever since they nearly poo the bed against us.

Just a couple weeks ago it was a forgone conclusion that Joe Barry would be fired, now I’m not so sure. What a difference a few weeks makes.

The fact that Slowik started off as a defensive assistant and a linebackers coach gives him a unique advantage on how to beat defenses because he has the ability to think like a defensive guy. Having a head coach that has professional experience on both sides of the ball would be a great asset.
