LeBrun stating that the Meier sweepstakes is coming to an end as teams are being informed that they are out of the running (i.e. Winnipeg being told Meier won’t re-sign there). Ultimately I think it’ll come down to Carolina or New Jersey and I wouldn’t be shocked if this is over by Tuesday.

I started noticing that as well. Around 10 games or so ago he’s started playing really damn good.

You look at Ottawa’s top six and you wonder why they aren’t a playoff team… then you keep scrolling to their bottom six and their defense… yikes, that’s why. The Staal line is going to get the Tkachuk line which means either the Aho line or Necas line is going to have an easy matchup… looks like it’ll be the Necas line with the easy matchup.

The Meier situation will probably be wrapped up soon, the rumor is that San Jose is waiting until Marleau’s celebration night is over so that they don’t take anything away from him in regards to publicity within the franchise.
