I wonder if New York would be interested in doing a struggling asset swap and do Teravainen (with retention) for Lafreniere. He’s rumored to be available and has been scratched a couple times.

Hope the Canes are able to re-sign Skjei in a couple years. He’s been our most complete defenseman this year.

That’s another reason it’s going to be hard to move him, the teams that are going to be sellers aren’t going to want to take on that salary for an additional year and the teams that are sellers are also going to be on Teravainen’s no-trade list.

Chicago, San Jose, and Vancouver most likely aren’t (cause they are poo) and those are the teams that will be moving out pieces. He’ll be hard to move because the teams that the Canes would want to trade him to will be on his NT list.
