Yep, same here. Fear has always been that Shitstain will put up a .930 against us every night. Those fears were quelled today.

Lots of similarities to game one against Washington back in 2018. Washington raced out to a 3-0 lead behind two PP goals but the Canes fought back to cut it to 3-2 before eventually losing 4-2 on an EN. Obviously we went on to win that series off of a feed from Mr. Game 7 to Big Cock Brock. Watching today’s game reminded me a lot of that game because I came away with the impression that we can hang if we switch up just a few things (goalie and special teams).

Right, but obviously we aren’t pulling the goalie in a 2-2 game. My point is that in equal 5 v. 5 play it was a 2-2 game with the Canes having twice as much o-zone time and the Rags scoring off of a beer league goal. I’ll keep repeating it. Go to PK and get a net 0 from special teams or better and we’ll win the series. Now if we continue to be -1 or -2 in special teams then the series will be over quick.

We’ll win 5 on 5 more than we’ll lose. From here on out it comes down to going even in special teams. If we refuse to score on the PP then we can’t let them either.

Don’t think it’s the same tune at all. 3 goals should have been good enough to get us to OT. Andersen gave up a really bad goal and we lost special teams 2-0. In reality it was a 2-2 game 5 on 5. - Go to PK - Fix special teams - Win the series

Problem I have with this is should of is different than can. PK has the quickness to get across and make one of those saves. You need your goalie to be able to pull a rabbit out of his ass in the playoffs.

Even down 1-0 I like where we are. Lost by one goal after horrible special teams and below average goal tending. Clean up goaltending and special teams and we’ll win.

It needs to be Pyotr’s net, no way around it. Freddie has gone on way to many streaks where he’s allowed two or three consecutive goals in the postseason. Need more help from our goalie.

Well they have the 6 v 6 edge because Freddie’s let in 3 because he’s flailing around back there.

Eye test unfortunately says otherwise and I knew it when I was watching the Rangers/Caps series. Teams are evenly matched 5 v 5.

Special teams will win this series, which isn’t good for us.

When the Rangers pinch a defenseman, I’d be sending a forward every single time. Need to generate some 2 on 1’s.
