  1. Minshew went 6-10 in what was supposed to be a horrible year for Jacksonville, they were in 9 of the 16 games he played. The following year Minshew played in 9 games, in 8 of those games the Jags didn’t have a chance because their defense gave up 30+ points. In the one game that the Jags held their opponent under 30 points, they won. Before you say I’m making excuses for him, the above excuse was the exact excuse that this fan base used when Cam was lighting it up with Chud… we simply had no chance because the defense was poo.
  2. Minshew went undrafted because he’s small, isn’t an elite athlete, and had accuracy issues. However, he has since found the accuracy and should be a starter in this league. Additionally, if it’s a Mickey Mouse offense then how did Kliff Kingsbury get a head coaching job running the same offense and why are Mahomes and Murray succeeding after running the same offense? Love was given a chance against Detroit and looked like dog poo so Green Bay had to change course.
  3. Unfortunately for Love, athleticism doesn’t equal success at the QB position. He (Love) was drafted based off his sophomore year but regressed more than any QB in college football during his junior year… meanwhile, Minshew was lighting it up at Washington State. If you like Love that’s fine but it can’t be based off of his tape because his actual tape (not highlight reel) is atrocious outside of one random year. Love’s game against Detroit killed any trade value he had.
  4. Because they aren’t going to take less than what they got for him when at the very minimum he is a great backup for them… it’s called supply and demand. And Rhule was too busy hitching his wagon to Darnold to trade for Minshew. Luckily Fitterer is running the show now.
  5. BUH GAWDDD, THAT’S TONY DEANGELO’S MUSIC!
  6. I’d be all about some Minshew Mania, bring him back to North Carolina. Give the Eagles a conditional fourth that turns into a fifth if Minshew doesn’t start at least 10 games. They acquired him for a conditional sixth so they are still making a profit off of the trade. If they want P.J. Walker as a backup to Hurts they can have him too, it would send him back to Philly.
  7. I’d be curious to know if there is anyone that wanted Lance last year but does not want Willis this year… and if so, what the reasoning is.
  8. This intrigues me.. he was not good last year but came back way too early from achilles surgery and also had knee, toe, and pectoral injuries. With a full offseason to rehab he might be able to get back to his KC days. It would have to be a prove it deal though, you can’t give big money to a guy who hasn’t proven he is back after an achilles injury.
  9. I think they’ll let him reach otherwise why keep him? If we’re content with Darnold and another losing season then why not bring in a coach who can start to build his team for 2023? Rhule is fighting for his job and he’s going to do everything to try and save it, even if it’s reaching for a QB.
  10. It’s the common sense move for sure but Rhule knows he can’t win with Darnold so it’s QB or bust (unless he thinks he can win with Jimmy G or Minshew).
  11. We could have signed James Daniels and kept Christensen at LT but whatever.
  12. Not sure who mentioned this but I looked into it and Christensen was much better at LT than LG… by like a long shot. If we sign Brown or Armstead then Christensen is for sure getting moved to guard which I don’t think is great for his progress.
  13. It was actually a surgery on his achilles and he came back super early, the knee injury occurred in December and he was also dealing with a toe and pectoral injury. With all of that in mind, a prove it deal for Fisher would be interesting.
  14. Anything over 2yrs./$20M and we are getting fleeced. The guy is almost 40 and is coming off his worse season since his rookie year.
  15. Better go ahead and get those Kenny Pickett photoshops ready…
  16. If they sign him, I’m expecting 2yrs./$18M (or at least hoping it’s not worse than that).
  17. Eh, pursuing and closing in on are a little different. Not saying it won’t happen but it might not.
  18. As long as it’s no more than a two year deal, I assume he’ll be less expensive than Armstead and even in his old age he doesn’t miss as many games as Armstead. He did give up a poo load of sacks last year though.
  19. He did that many of times specifically to the right side which is why I question how Pitt was asking him to read the field.
