  1. Are you familiar with the concept of pass routes? (inside joke from a prior season)
  2. Very good segment. Can't help noticing that Gantt and others have been talking about how suddenly the team actually seems like a professional organization. Wonder what changed
  3. Apropos of nothing except that it came to mind, a bunch of Kyle Shanahan's players texted him this past Sunday to let him know that they were still alive
  4. I was asking Kyle Shanahan that same question.
  5. Are we certain that's gonna happen?
  6. If Morgan was who they wanted all along - and that's a very believable idea - then it's not hard to imagine the process going quickly. Mind you, if the team announces they've hired Cunningham, I expect a whole lot of people to lose their minds. (and to be clear, I'd absolutely be scratching my head)
  7. Plus there is that other job. On that topic, I know a lot of people said he was great but from what I saw of it, he was just kind of meh.
  8. That goes back to the whole "high standards" question. I doubt anybody would deny that the Packers are one of the best teams in the league. They just haven't been the best. It's all relative.
  9. To be clear, I wasn't necessarily comparing Christensen to Gross. Just mentioning that even as great as Jordan was, Julius Peppers ate his lunch when he was just starting. That'll happen with Christensen and Burns too, but it shouldn't cause anyone concern.
  10. Update: Breer says both interviews were completed today. Sounds like neither team will block the hire. Still no word on whether there will be any other candidates, but I don't think this process will be as exhaustive as the GM search was.
  11. He's a troll. Don't bother. I'd actually forgotten this particular dipsh-t existed.
  12. I'd be for it based on the entertainment value alone. Green Bay wasn't on Wilson's list of approved destinations, but at the time he made that list he may have figured there was no way in hell they'd part ways with Rodgers.
  13. It was a while back, but I'll look. If I remember correctly, Person tweeted it.
  14. A "not sure if serious" moment that could serve as a peek into how Rodgers feels right now...
  15. I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict he chooses to play here.
  16. I remember reading a while back that the reason they were keeping Garoppolo was because they did did indeed feel they had a Super Bowl roster and wanted to keep a strong backup. At least that was the word when everybody thought they were taking Mac Jones. Obviously, things have changed.
  17. From what I've read, it's allowed. Might be some flexibility with the fifth year option. Don't know. I suppose the rationale would be that they're not changing how much money he gets, just when he gets it.
  18. FYI: Regarding Trey Lance... So after trading up (using significant resources to do so) and drafting him #3 overall, they might wait until his third year to start him? Breer and others are calling bullsh-t on that idea.
  19. I've seen speculation that they'll rework his contract to split the cap hit evenly across both seasons. It'd work out to about 11.5 million per year. Significantly lower than Bridgewater...
  20. Gil Brandt listed his "best value" picks. Two of them are Panthers. On the flipside...
  21. I feel pretty comfortable saying that Christensen will get run over by Brian Burns, several times. We're talking about a rookie facing an establish, dominant NFL player. Of course that's going to happen. You know who else that happened to some years back though? A kid named Jordan Gross when he was facing a fellow named Julius Peppers. Gross turned out okay.
  22. Possible, but not guaranteed. Don't know that we'll ever find out. When Albert Breer and Peter King made their final mock drafts, both largely attributed their prediction of Fields on the logic that Tepper wanted him. I doubt either of them believed that Tepper would allow the staff to not take who he most wanted. But he did. And honestly, regardless of how you feel about Fields, we should all be happy about that.
  23. Verge and other sources stated that there were definitely people in the building who believed they should take Fields. Those people just didn't include Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer.
  24. Their new GM has certainly seen an awful lot of Rodgers as an opponent over the years. Interest would absolutely make sense from there.
  25. Tepper's not an evaluator so who he wants and why don't concern me much. That's one of the reasons I was happy to hear Matt Rhule say that Tepper "leaves the football stuff" to he and Fitterer (as he should).
