  1. Yep. The article doesn't actually say what's in the thread title.
  2. Pretty sure some of the people arguing for us to draft him are the same ones who screamed that if we didn't trade a first or second round draft pick for Josh Gordon or Justin Blackmon, it proved we didn't care about winning Some real fountains of football wisdom there, eh?
  3. Saw that. I don't know how they thought that was gonna work. Of course, Dan Quinn was...more flexible.
  4. It's worth a lot (especially so around training camp time)
  5. Anyone else remember the name Darion Conner?
  6. Cause even if it was lousy, I got a feeling you did better than Delanie Walker... Delanie Walker's girlfriend blows up his life using his Instagram
  7. Firing guys on the defensive side would have been particularly cold coming from Tomsula. But I agree the most likely reason was to show they didn't need Harbaugh or any of his people. Making coaching and roster moves out of spite is a real solid strategy
  8. Yes he was. I was waiting to see if anyone else remembered his name.
  9. Unless you were planning to post a pic of your drunken wife, I think you clicked into the wrong thread. Were you aiming for the 'hearts day' thread?
  10. How many folks have been around long enough to remember a time when one of our starting tackles was a bulked up tight end?
  11. Vincent was actually pretty good for his first season here. He was part of that power blocking unit with (a healthy) Jeff Otah that steamrolled the #1 Bucks defense so bad Monte Kiffin decided to retire. If I remember right though, injuries broke him down the next year.
  12. Worst DE is probably Ray Seals. We signed him as a free agent in 97 (if I remember correctly) and he was terrible.
  13. Given those conditions, QB has to be Clausen or Weinke.
  14. Smitty was forgiven for those incidents under prior GMs. Gettleman is the guy who got rid of him, and got Jerry Richardson's blessing to do so. i don't know that I'd consider that a good sign for Hardy. Again though, this thread isn't about Hardy.
  15. Oh, I think he'll get at least four, though I do accept six or more is possible. And yeah, I think it'll stand.
  16. We're not in the court system anymore. We're in the league's disciplinary process, where the NFL generally gets what they want. And if they want to make an example of Hardy, they'll probably succeed.
  17. I was thinking the shape of a shark. If course, there's the old theory that it was really Godzilla that sunk the ship and the military covered it up
  18. A quick point to the folks who think the Ray Rice decision will help Hardy... Ray Rice filed his court case based on the fact that he had already been suspended without pay once for the same incident. The NFL was embarrassed when the video came out so they claimed not to know how serious the incident had actually been and suspended Rice indefinitely on the basis of this and the claim that he had lied to them. The judge who heard the case found the NFL's claim that they "didn't know what really happened the first time" to be bulls--t, and vacated the suspension based on that belief. None of that applies to Hardy. Hardy can't claim to be suspended again for the same offense because 1) he got his full paycheck and 2) because he voluntarily agreed to go on the Exempt List. And if you're counting on the NFLPA, remember that Adrian Peterson already appealed his suspension based on the whole 'double jeopardy / rules change' notion, and lost. Peterson is a way bigger star in the league. If the Players Association couldn't save him, what makes you think they can save Hardy? Bottom Line: The NFL could indeed ultimately decide not to suspend Hardy, but the more info I see the less chance I see of that happening. And if they do ultimately suspend him for two, four, six, eight games or such, I think you can pretty well count on it sticking.
  19. And this? Supposedly the very iceberg that sunk the Titanic. Link: 15 of the rarest and most mind blowing photographs in history
  20. "What's this" you ask... It's the original filming of this.
