Ouch

See what I added above. Basically, this thread is primarily geared to what's going on behind the scenes. A discussion of the offensive nuances would be its own topic, and a good one. There's already a lot going on in here. That's why I'd say take that one to a place where it can be discussed on its own. It's not an insult. Just the opposite actually...
-
Because I think it would make a good thread, but separate from this one because it's a different overall topic. Think of it this way: There's already a lot of discussion here so why clog up a good offensive discussion with what's already going on?

There have been some rumors that the Bears job is the one he really wants. Some folks expect the Raiders to go after him as well.
-
Fair enough.
-
Watching it doesn't mean you can define it, and when you were challenged to you couldn't. Oh and while we're at it, Thomas Brown wrote the playbook
-
Didn't he beat them the last couple of times?
-
He also had guys on his successful winning team ready to mutiny because of how he treated them. Harbaugh's personality is pretty similar to Josh McDaniels when it comes to how he reacts to players. That's why he can do well in college where there's constant turnover. In the pros? You might get a short-term flash from him like the Niners did, but if you're looking for a long-term winner it's not gonna be Jim Harbaugh. John on the other hand...

Update from that nasty injury the other night...
-
Yeah, Harbaugh here is a pipe dream, and not a very good one. He's not really built for the pros.

Dude, you don't even know what a Frank Reich offense is. That's why your discussions of it weren't taken seriously. We have a guy to come on here who discusses some actual concepts related to it and then you're signing on going "yeah, that's what I said", except what you said wasn't anything close
-
Oh I read your posts, and the responses to them. It became clear pretty quickly that you were out of your element

Probably Duce Staley...

I think that's what we're all afraid of...

Bozeman and the guards were talked about elsewhere but not so much here because this thread wasn't heavily about the offense so much as it was about what's going on behind the scenes. Addressing this particular discussion would likely be better done in a separate thread but I'll look at some of it here. One of the things I think made a difference in what they were doing laterally was the switch to Hubbard. What he's shown he can do is turn on a dime to take those lateral runs in a North South direction. That's something you really need in order to make those concepts go. Sanders had proven he could do that in prior seasons, but wasn't doing a very good job of it this year. He did look better yesterday, although not necessarily in that particular metric so much as just general running. As to the vertical aspect, I think the reason we're not doing that is the Young hasn't been able to consistently hit those routes yet, though he's starting to. Yesterday he did that with Hurst, and the week before with Thielen. That's the kind of improvement I've been hoping to see. FYI: If you want a more detailed discussion of the offense, do us a favor and start a separate thread with this particular post (or one like it).

Yeah, you had no idea about any of that stuff. Your whole criticism was "too much shotgun"
-
Chicago might also be without their starting QB.
-
Possible. I wasn't a big fan of either Washington guy though.

I'm gonna take FJ'a advice here...

The only path I see to Tepper taking accountability would be removing himself from the decision making process

The Rams strategy of "F*** them picks" Also to be clear, I would have traded Burns for that haul, but that trade leaves you in the spot of needing a foundational player that's not easy to find after giving up the one you did find.

No, but he can play Pokemon.
