Also from Denver... Just remembering when Wilson thought he should have input on Seattle's draft
-
Dallas source... Kunkel's tweet technically only said "today".
-
I don't have to discredit you.
-
Couple of different sources, some local guys mentioned it and so did Ben Albright. Doesn't sound like Steichen is getting second interviews with anyone else either (even with his on-field success) so it's not necessarily hard to believe.

Actually, the biggest laugh I got was your suggestion that a wide receiver coach was somehow responsible for the offense. That'd be like us holding Joe Dailey responsible for how our entire offense performed Reich was let go In Arizona because the entire staff was let go (your own link even says that). Likewise in San Diego he was part of a staff under unsuccessful head coach Mike McCoy that was overhauled as part of an effort to save McCoy's ass (which didn't work). I already knew from previous experience that you had no idea what you were talking about anyway, so this isn't exactly a huge surprise

College coaches who get seven year contracts tend to flame out by year three.
-
Something tells me you haven't done your research.
-
I think that's the plan in Indianapolis.
-
He can't be talked to again until after the 30th. Would you really want to hold off for close to another week on hiring the head coach of your choice just to do that?

From what I've heard, a lot of people have stories about George Seifert being a dick. Our old long snapper Mark Rodenhauser is one of them.
-
Belichick is at least 150. It's coming about time that he'll have to shed more innocent blood to keep from aging.

Report. Panthers pivoting from Shane Steichen
Mr. Scot replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers

That's an example I could think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others. Pretty sure that's what the Patriots planned to do with McDaniels before he bolted. Now I think the plan is to go with Jerod Mayo. The NFL hasn't always been like it is now.

Bill Belichick wasn't "Bill Belichick" when he took over the Patriots. Ditto Levy. Hell, plenty of people were laughing (me included) when the Seahawks decided to give Pete Carroll his third or fourth chance.
-
Bill Walsh handed the 49ers over to his DC George Seifert. They might have been able to keep going there if not for the fact that Seifert was kind of a dick.
-
Pretty sure Belichick was fired. Reid too. Levy wasn't especially successful in Kansas City either. Carroll was fired two or three times.
-
The idea with Reich would be to have him first "right the ship", then groom a young assistant to eventually take over and hopefully keep that process going. No guarantees, but it's really not a bad plan.
-
Dick Vermeil, Bill Belichick, Marv Levy, oh and that guy Reid out in KC seems to be doing all right.
-
Yeah, that's fake. Mention of "the Saints head coach opening" is a pretty big clue.
-
Witten was awful. To tell the truth though, I'm not convinced Tom Brady has the right personality for that kind of thing either. Apparently somebody is...
-
Yeah. Fair or not, a lot of people took Ossenfort's "no egos" comment as being directed at Murray.
-
My thought going into this coaching search was that I didn't give a sh-t if they were bold or if they played it safe as long as they were smart. Time will tell if it's the case, but I kind of feel like they have been.

I caught Kyle Van Noy on the radio yesterday talking about Murray. He said his experience from playing against him was that he really really didn't like being hit. Nobody likes being hit, but Van Noy seemed to imply that Murray was kind of soft. Said it wouldn't surprise him if Murray just one day decided to say "Screw it, I'm gonna go play baseball".
