Callback... Granted they could still put in a request, but at least for right now the veracity of that report is looking kinda shaky.
-
Side Note: Not that it necessarily means much, but Johnson would have been in high school during the early 2000s when the Panthers first made it to the Super Bowl. It wouldn't be at all surprising to find out that he's a big Panther fan. And again, this is potentially his dream job.

I theorized that it could be Byron Leftwich given he has a connection to Steve Wilks. Hamilton could also be an option but he'd be a harder sell.

It ain't gonna be Harbaugh. Very cool video

Joseph Is a pretty solid DC.

Under No Circumstances Should We Trade a Haul for a QB/Pick
Mr. Scot replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Disagree, but even accepting the premise, there's nobody I like that much in this draft. -
There's a name with a strong Steve Wilks connection...

Can't blame em for trying

Status update from Person... Nothing official can happen until they get that second Rooney Rule interview in.
-
His style of coaching isn't in vogue right now. Looking at the interview requests around the league, it's not hard to figure what style is.
-
To be fair, I kind of think that was more the GM than McVay.
-
His record wasn't so hot, though. And while I'll grant his rep may have been as much about things that were off the field (TV career, etc) fans were pounding for teams to call him on pretty much an annual basis. Doubt that happens now...

I get that, and I could definitely see him coming back. I can just also see a scenario where he wouldn't. As far as Gruden, I'm talking less about the emails that I am about the sh-tty job he did.
-
Side Note: All the speculation that we might reach out to Dan Quinn (or just hand him the job outright) turned out to be a whole lotta nothing.
-
Honestly, wouldn't surprise me If he were. He's likely set for life and as of right now has legend status. Why come back and endanger that? Look what Gruden did to his rep.

I had an intriguing thought run through my mind. Ben Johnson and Luke Kuechly are acquainted from their Boston College days. I wonder if Johnson would ask Kuechly to help him scout for offensive weaknesses or tendencies. Could be useful...

Tepper clearly wants to change the Panthers identity
Mr. Scot replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
Makes sense... -
Reich is by all accounts a humble guy and has a lot of Charlotte ties.
-
Appreciated Fair enough Case in point...

Planning on it, but this year's search comes at a busy time for me. Mind you, I'm not the only person who can create such threads.

National Championship watch party, maybe...

Regarding Jeff Foxworthy's "you might be a redneck" jokes... "I'll tell you this. I would certainly hate to see my entire body of work as a comedian reduced down to one catchphrase." - Larry the Cable Guy

Some general info...

From Rhule's introductory press conference (David Tepper speaking) We were all sitting there interviewing Matt and it was me, Marty and Steven Drummond. And Marty's going with his toughness and his questions and we're about halfway through the interview and Marty Hurney starts melting down. And you could see Marty and he's like 'I've gotta get into recruiting mode now.' So Marty goes from total interview mode to putting on the recruiting mode. And Steve and I looked at each other and looked at Marty and didn't say a word, and we just all went into recruiting mode because we knew we had something special. And something that we could build something up here. Full Transcript: Matt Rhule introductory press conference
