  1. As an aside, it's still boggles my mind that there were people defending Rhule right up to the start of this season. (one or two even into the first few weeks)
  2. What if Rhule pulled a Bobby Petrino? Not sure I see that happening but I suppose it's possible. (and might arguably be less embarrassing)
  3. Under a competent NFL owner I might say this week, but a competent NFL owner probably would have fired him before this season started. With Tepper? Hard to say.
  4. Thing with Shanahan is he definitely knows how to scheme an effective run game. Garoppolo might be a weak link, but I'd still expect they run over us.
  5. The current roster probably isn't the worst in history. The amalgam of the coaching staff under Matt Rhule over the last three seasons though? Probably the worst we've ever had.
  6. I just have a hard time imagining Phil Snow winning a battle of wits with Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay.
  7. You have us getting through the 49ers and Rams games without being blown out?
  8. New Observer guy Mike Kaye liked Tre Boston's tweet (ouch)
  9. Keeping him around is pointless. And for the record, we have two former head coaches and one who's previously been an interim head coach on the staff (Tabor, who would be my choice for interim) I'd add that it's probably better for Rhule as it gives him an early start on finding his next college job.
  10. Phil Snow against Kyle Shanahan isnt a matchup that gives me good feelings.
  11. Bring him back this year and he's still under Rhule, with Ben McAdoo as his OC.
  12. At least in part because year three was supposed to be the big, magical turnaround. FYI: Our next three games are against the 49ers, Rams and Bucs. We've also got the Bengals, Lions and Ravens down the road. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that third year miracle is probably not happening.
  13. The following game as well... If the primary problem is not knowing the playbook, then how does someone look worse after having more time to learn it and practice it? Sorry but the logic doesn't check out.
  14. FYI: Johnson's offense put up 45 points against Seattle yesterday. Sadly for the Lions, the defense gave up 48. (DC Aaron Glenn is under some pretty heavy criticism right now)
  15. At this point, I have a really tough time imagining any scenario where Rhule isn't fired.
  16. Rumor is that Burns doesn't want to stay (at least not under Rhule). Even setting that aside though, he's likely still a better fit for a 3-4 team.
  17. Look up his stats for the Miami game the following week (or the one the week after that) and you'll see why people question him. I know the argument is that he can come in and look good even not knowing the playbook, but the counter argument is that the longer he plays, the worse he looks. He doesn't have an extended run in him anymore.
  18. That tweet is timestamped fairly early in the game. And yeah, I saw a little bit of those things. I specifically remember calling out a pre-snap motion to Lady Cowboy Fan. But yeah, overall it's still pretty bad.
  19. Probably this guy... Rhule was reported to have really wanted Henderson in the draft. Apparently when things went south in Jacksonville, he saw it as a chance to poach him.
  20. Damn, Mahomes is fun to watch.
  21. Navarro was the guy the Richardson family wanted. I kinda wondered if he was going to continue to let them have a voice in how the team was run.
