I'm not sure you're going to find a lot of agreement with that outside of the Panther fanbase. The biggest thing Smith needs is a Hall of Fame voter pushing for him. Given his relationship with a lot of the media guys, I'm not sure that's gonna be easy to find.
-
And yet those guys aren't in either, including the ones who do have Super Bowl rings. That, plus there's a list of guys who've been waiting even longer than them (Cliff Branch, Mark Clayton and Mark Duper for example). You seriously think Steve Smith is just gonna leapfrog those guys?
-
McCaffrey actually got even better in the following two years and had the 1000/1000 achievement in 2019. Lemme guess: You also have a different definition of "deterioration" maybe? (or perhaps you just have no clue what you're talking about)
-
You're probably wrong about that, but it doesn't really matter. The Hall of Fame isn't purely stat driven (nor should it be).
-
Nah. The actual"beginning of the end" was Newton's injury, and the later aggravation of it against the Steelers. It's the weirdest thing though. The team didn't close down after that. In fact, they're still in the process of rebuilding and a lot of us are optimistic about the future. Of course there's others that just want to be pathetic trolls, but you're always gonna have that
-
And yet you didn't seem to be aware that 2017 was a winning season. Heh
-
Well, I don't tend to be a miserable little sh-t about things, so no. Even though we lost Super Bowl 38, the highlights from it are still fun to watch. Likewise, while the 2015 season ended on an extremely sour note, there are still a lot of really fun clips from that year. Hell, I'd even watch good highlights from Super Bowl 50. (I'm just not sure any actually exist)
-
Oh, and to answer the dumbass question, a simple search like "McCaffrey 2017 highlights" will get you plenty. Last season may have sucked, but there were still plenty of fun highlights (Jeremy Chinn's two quick touchdowns, for example). I'm not gonna refrain from enjoying them (or whine like a little b-tch when someone else does) just because it was a losing season.

Several, and no I haven't passed anyone else's work off as mine. Why should I? I'd add that "high school" would be a compliment to what you're posting here.
-
Do you have any posts that are worth reading? The whole "I have higher standards than you" thing is weak.
-
Gross-Matos has indeed shown "flashes", but he needs to be waaaaaay more consistent before I'd be ready to put a lot of faith in him.
-
Smith may get in eventually, but there's a logjam of great wide receivers ahead of him. Seriously doubt it's gonna be quick if it happens.
-
That's basically asking "Would PJ Walker be the starter right now if he were good?" Sure. But that's the problem...he's not.
-
Aaahh, that was you.
-
I don't know whether Darnold is going to be a solid starter or not, but I do know he has a chance to be. Walker? Doubt he's even a good backup.
-
The most accurate representation of our backup QB situation I've seen is someone saying we have two third stringers fighting for a second string spot. I'd prefer one solid second stringer over both of them.
-
It has a lot to do with the fact that he's not good, honestly probably not even "backup good". He's not an NFL quarterback. I'd be way more comfortable with a better backup, but I don't know if we're gonna get one.
-
Mind you, I do believe Walker will have a chance to be a starter again around 2023. That's when the XFL is scheduled to start back up.
-
This is without doubt the stupidest argument that I've seen anybody present in Walker's favor.
-
What about that post sounds like something an agent would say? What a dimwitted post.
-
I have nothing against Walker, or Little for that matter. Likewise, I had nothing personal against Marty Hurney. But the reality is that some people aren't very good at football. And it's not a personal insult to point that out. Walker isn't an NFL quarterback (neither is Grier, for that matter) and Little isn't an NFL tackle. Kudos to them for putting in the work, but I seriously doubt that's going to change.
-
Like the way some folks talk about Sam Darnold, for example?
-
So is Greg Little. Nobody's against the idea of Greg Little becoming a franchise left tackle, but given what we know, any prediction that it's gonna happen is likely to be met with... skepticism. (Read: laughter)

Maybe it's a smokescreen where people are posting idiotic stuff in order to throw us off of how smart they really are Nah... They're really that dumb.

NFL fines Washington Football Team $10 million
Mr. Scot replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper took it down because the situation have him an excuse to do so. And it wasn't just the statue. Tepper has reportedly removed anything and everything with Jerry Richardson's name on it from BOA.
