I grant the execution is bad, but playcall wise this is a game Thomas Brown should probably leave off his resumé -

Two straight shots downfield? Is that actual good playcalling or are you just trying to say something? -

Playing guard for the Panthers this year is like an automatic path to injured reserve. -
I actually prefer the guy who just writes a check because few if any of them have any clue what they're doing.
-
The money isn't going to the Panthers. I mean hell, if I had a custom T-shirt made that said "David Tepper is a b-tch" you could technically call that spending money on something Panthers related but it wouldn't exactly constitute supporting the team.
-
I feel pretty comfortable saying that meddling counts as "involvement". Weekly meetings with the head coach sound pretty involved as well. It's pretty universally understood that he's a hands on owner.
-
Not technically Panthers related. More "screw you, Tepper" related
-
I think those categories are a little overblown sometimes. Seriously doubt we're gonna get one regardless, though.
-
Have seen this speculation in a couple of places...
-
Valid, but Jeremy Fowler is a much better source and he's saying the same. It is kind of hard to imagine him and Tepper working well together. (might be entertaining as heck, though)

Kelly is in the Raiders front office.

Same. Was kinda poorly written... -
Oh, I think he cares, and for the reason that it feeds his ego. Sure it's about money too, the when's the last time in NFL owner lost money? If it were only about the money, he wouldn't be so hands-on. But just like when he first started, he still wants to show everybody he's the smartest guy in the room. Might take a while, though
-
That was Rhule. Fitterer made pretty clear he disagreed with that idea. That said, the idea that he might be a better guard than tackle isn't exactly farfetched. In a zone blocking system though, he'd be better suited to play tackle than Ekwonu would.

Panthers abandoning Wofford for training camp, will be in Charlotte
Mr. Scot replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are a fair number of teams charging for training camp attendance right now, and not all of them good teams. So while it might not go over well, I wouldn't be shocked to see him try it anyway (wouldn't exactly be the first time). As far as South Carolina, the training camp decision was likely made for the same reason as pretty much all of Tepper's other decisions, money. That said though, I haven't seen much of the "two states, one team" thing out of the team. And it's not like Tepper's previous encounters with the South Carolina fanbase have tended tocome to...positive endings. -
Conceivably creates another "bird" though depending on what you do with left tackle.

It's certainly possible that Tepper doesn't give a sh-t about the South Carolina side of the fanbase anymore. Might be wise for him to remember though that it's not like the team is exactly growing its fanbase in their current status. Are the Panthers really in a position to take any fans for granted? -
I would, for a specific reason... That's a lot of roster work in an offseason where we already have a lot of roster work to do.
-
Will Campen still be here though? I don't know how well Bakhtiari can stay healthy anymore ,but generally speaking I'd agree if we get a new left tackle next season, it'll probably be an older veteran stopgap (like we did a few years back).
