You're referring to the team that drafted Mitch Trubisky (in a trade up), Rex Grossman, Cade McNown and most recently Justin Fields while also sending significant draft compensation to the Broncos for Jay Cutler? Oh yeah, not sure why anybody would doubt them

Jaycee Horn expected to miss multiple weeks

Should we also have done that with Thomas Davis? -
Who would you rank as top 5 Panther draft busts of all time?

Horn does not in any way shape or form belong on that list, especially not over somebody like Jason Peter.- 71 replies

All-22 Review: Panthers @ Falcons [Week 1 - 2023]
Mr. Scot replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's because it was a lousy take. Young is, by all accounts, the kind of guy who lives and breathes football, similar to if Luke Kuechly were a quarterback. It's a big reason why they trust him...and indication so far are that they should. -

Kinda hard to beat Kerry Collins for that title. Also hard to label Horn a bust given that he's effectively a shutdown corner when he can stay healthy. -
NFLPA Exec Director calls out the league over the turf
Mr. Scot replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Valid, though it's also fair to point out the league was always less likely to listen until it happened to somebody they can market off of. Can't really blame the Players Association for that. -

Pretty much Got me thinking about getting some KFC now though -
No, just got better things to do than listen to you try and spin your way out of your past support of our fired head coach. Everybody saw your posts last year, and Doctor Strange isn't here to help make people forget. More importantly though, there's actual Panthers football to discuss right now, so I'm not going to entertain you any further.

I'm willing to go in on getting a KFC big bucket. Technically though, Cerrano did better after he dumped Jobu -
There are no "Rhule hype" vids. There are a fair share of "Rhule is a dumbass" clips, but those are all in the college football discussion...where they belong.
-
Pretty sure they put out an official statement saying they had no plans to talk to Brady. Interesting question though
-
I'm actually having great luck with that and other things right now, so...
-
If you wanted to troll, better title would have been "Panthers acquire Lamar Jackson". You'd likely have been banned though, so...
-
Meaningless now, but it wasn't so meaningless to the guy trying to win the head coaching job at the time.

That thought crossed my mind

Good old fashioned the bottom of the roster churn
-
That wouldn't be surprising for what they do. I've said before that technically it's not the college staff's job to get their players ready for the NFL. Their job is to win games at the college level. Mind you, those two things used to go hand in hand way more so than they do now.
-
Yeah, that's a dumb argument, no different than saying it's better to keep a bad coach than to fire them. (but then, I'm pretty sure you made that argument last year too)
-
I'd say this is more "hospital bed" than "dumpster". Cohen was pretty good before the injuries.

Playing poorly isn't necessarily preferable to not playing. (especially not at the most important position on the field)
-
It's not hoodoo either. There's a genuine reason behind the "curse". Ohio State's talent tends to be vastly superior to their opponents. Their quarterbacks are typically throwing the wide open receivers so prowess with reads isn't a big necessity. You don't practice it, you don't learn it.
-
Was gonna say the same thing. Yeah it's early, but it's not like we haven't seen this from Fields before. And I know there are folks who think it would have been different if he were here, but given who was in charge at the time that's kind of a tough argument to defend. Rhule didn't really want a rookie. And frankly he doesn't really fit the profile for the kind of quarterback Reich prefers. The Ohio State QB curse strikes again.
