Great players frequently make poor coaches. A lot of times it's because what made them great isn't something they can necessarily transfer to others.

I've been a Stroud proponent, which is funny because when it comes to quarterbacks, I'm normally a guy who cares less about measurables and more about intangibles. Young is absolutely everything that I would want a quarterback to be. He's smart, he processes well, he's an accurate passer, all the most important stuff. But yes, I worry about his durability. Especially so because you know other teams are going to try to hit him as hard as possible. And I think you can get pretty close to Young's intangibles with Stroud while not having the durability concerns. Ultimately though, I think Young will be the guy so I just have to commit to cringing and covering my eyes when he takes a hit

Can't speak for snow, but I would say while Young is probably the pick, you never know until you hear the name read. (that's why the draft always makes me nervous)

Absolutely. Every team tries to hit the quarterback, but there are certain teams for whom I would say doing physical damage to them is...encouraged. (the Saints are definitely not the only dirty team) And yes, you have to take that kind of thing into account when you're looking at Young.

That's been the knock on Ohio State quarterbacks in general. I know they say "don't scout the helmet" but I've mentioned before that a lot of times there's a reason or a trend of some sort that causes certain reputations. Again though, that's not always valid for every player.
