  1. A little more than that... Threatening to shoot someone, especially as part of a domestic dispute, is a bit more than just throwing a shoe.
  2. Pretty much. And again, as others have said, narcissistic behavior. I think some of it is because he's sat on stuff in the past out of attempts to be fair. Obviously, the time for that has passed.
  3. Perhaps. But the presence of mental illness is how stories that start off with "officer so and so was there to serve a simple warrant" end with "and the suspect was pronounced dead on the scene". Police in a case like this are wise to show restraint and be extremely careful with their words.
  4. Does the average person shut themselves in a house for a misdemeanor? It's not so much the details of the situation as it is that Brown is unstable.
  5. That actually sounds like a police attempt at de-escalation. "See, There's this guy we're trying to arrest who's refusing to come out of his home. He hasn't technically threatened anybody but we can confirm there are guns inside." "But hey, it's not a standoff"
  6. Further quote via Ellis... So now the story is he didn't even have final say. Good grief, this guy is full of sh-t
  7. And Marty Hurney was one of the best evaluators of college talent in the league ... One day, I'd love to ask Tepper whether he actually had something in mind to base that statement on or if it was just pure bullsh-t.
  8. For the record, Jared Lorenzen wasn't really that good.
  9. Some managers have no concept of skill sets. They think just because someone is smart in one area (or smart in general) they can automatically be smart at anything else too. It's kind of like thinking an accountant can also slide into the role of a lawyer. Or a great receiver can automatically also be a great quarterback. Jerry Richardson used to do the same dumb sh-t. That's how we wound up with a sportswriter / PR guy as a general manager.
  10. If we were to look at him, I'd want it to be as a backup. That'd frame the conversation as being between him and Elflein.
  11. Well, at least they're excited in Nebraska... Credit to Igo for his response...
  12. I have a hard time imagining any scenario where the Panthers end up with Payton.
  13. I've never really seen any indication that Rhule had a "long game" or anything resembling strategic thinking.
  14. There's no definitive confirmation they've gotten anything done. It's all just speculation right now.
  15. That's what some are speculating. Haven't seen any definite indication of such, but we'll see.
